Installation and Upgrades / Zentyal 2.0 detects secondary Network Card but always shows "Down"
« on: September 14, 2010, 07:17:23 pm »
Hello there experienced folks and Zentyal Support Team
We have recently installed Zentyal 2.0 32 bit edition on a legacy Dual-Socket Pentium 3 Xeon server with on-board Broadcom Ethernet Controller. Recognizes as eth0 And works - All Right -
After the Installation of UTM and Gateway components and completed the installation, we have installed another Ethernet card with VIA Rhine 3 - 6105M chip. Zentyal detects it too and recognizes as eth1 -
And problem starts here. Thus, whichever as we configure "eth1" as WAN, or LAN, or configure IP manually or try to get IP from modem DHCP (planned for use as WAN), it doesn't respond in any kind and It always labeled as "Down" Status in Zentyal's Dashboard.
Is that a driver issue ? Or is there any option or command to make enable and use secondary ethernet interface ?
Any suggestions appreciated. Thanks for your help -
