Installation and Upgrades / Re: High Load: Asterisk
« on: January 04, 2010, 05:32:11 pm »
Thank you for the response! I'm going to wait until this evening when I can re-enable the service. I had to disable it for the weekend as I use it for a file server for most of my web work. Tonight I'm going to re-enable it and monitor the logs and see what's happening and report back here.

Hi, not sure where else to post this and I tried instant messaging you J

The upload folder is full so attaching an image is not possible at this time.

When I tried to PM you about this it said I was unable to do so.

A little too basic, can you expand upon your topology a bit?

Firewall seems to be mis-configured.

When I have it installed it loops, as we use it locally to serve about a terabyte of archived data and a gateway I had to take a break from it (Hence the delay in my reply).

Thank you! mine was "Messy", like my breakfast.

This has to do with your user not being a part of the www-data group I believe.

Can someone post their sources list, want to clean mine up. To get it to the alpha stage I added them manually.

Want to have the correct sources.

Do you mean the "General Information" tab on the dashboard?

If you do then
Code: [Select]
General Information
Time Sun May 17 12:04:59 PDT 2009
Host name bmf
eBox version 1.1.10~svn13593
System load 0.06, 0.02, 0.00

No, I don't think you do.

Looking...

Got it,  under "Software Management>Ebox Components".

Layer 7, Asterisk, and MOnitoring show blank so it's the alpha state of this.

Good work guys!, looking forward to this =)

I think the status is just "Antivirus" under "Module Status".

The logs now are showing those two you mention.

Fixed, I think, still having to reconfigure my dhcp for clients.

I was able to force the install, then restarting ebox killed the looping error from squid/dansguardian.

Now back to getting clients out to the net again..

Installation and Upgrades / Previous problem returned

Hi, I updated to the latest ebox mentioned today.

It seems to have produced this: (http://forum.ebox-platform.com/index.php?topic=1275.0)

I've downloaded the deb, tried to run dpkg-i (Which failed).
I then used dpkg --force... and it resulted in an error:

Code: [Select]
dependecy problems prevent configuration of ebox-squid:
ebox-squid depends on ebox (<< 1.0.10); however:
version of ebox on system is 1.1.10~svn13593-0ubuntu1~ppa1~hardy1
dpkg: error processing ebox-squid (--install):
dependecy problems - leaving unconfigured

I know I"m just over my head..

I use this as a gateway so to post here I have to manually configure and without ebox running (Actually /etc/init.d/ebox stop) so I dont see Stopping dansguardian.... over and over and over... which is kinda odd. How are you to work on a server with a note saying something is stopping getting in the way of the administration of the thing (The server).

I'm running into an error like this where it continually says "Stopping dansguardian dansguardian, also, stopping squid http proxy squid.

Can't connect to it from remote, cant get onto the internet.

Tried rebooting, killing the process but stuck in a loop.
