Installation and Upgrades / Unable to browse websites within domain

Hi,

So I have installed Zentyal 4 and as far as I can tell all my machines are able to join the domain.

When browsing websites within the domain by host name I lose access after about 5 minutes and I receive a server not found. If I browse by IP address there is no problem.

I have no idea if this is useful information but the machines within the domain are Windows 7, NAS4Free and Ubuntu 14. The web server are both lighttpd and Nginx and the browses are Firefox and iron/chrome. Sign in is with Active Directory. There is no contact with the internet

I don’t what what to add but if it's explain how to get the information I will provide it.

Installation and Upgrades / [SOLVED] Accessing intr-a-net with browser

Hi everyone,

This is a question about accessing a private network with an intranet using a browser, not the internet.

I have zentyal 4 installed and as far as I can tell everything is working, My admin computer has two nic, wireless for the internet, wired for the private network

OK, I have two servers in my domain, each with web interfaces for admin. To me it makes sense to type in the browser https://hostname.example.com:443 which should get me to the server, but I'm thinking the browser defaults to the internet and tries to find that address on the internet. If I use the IP address https://192.168.10.15:443 everything works.

I don't know how to confirm that the servers (NAS4Free) are actually part of the domain and believe part of my problem is there

I've been Googling this for almost a week now and I have run out of ways to Google the question.

What suggestion are there to make hostname work in the browser?  (IE is not allowed in the company)
