then you can give (on slave)
sudo /usr/share/zentyal-users/rejoin-slave
a chance
and check on the master with
cd /usr/share/zentyal-users/
sudo ./list-slaves
whether the rejoin worked
Notice: all youre shares on slave are gone after that - you must reconfigure it

if you reinstall zentyal-users on your primary server it will wipe all users
before you do anything remember to do a backup (and a server config backup) of your master

Slave status
The modules which have users like mail and filesharing can now be installed in the slaves and
they will use the users configured in the master Zentyal directory.
Some modules need extra actions to be executed when you add users,
for instance filesharing, which needs to create the user directories.
To do so, the master will notify the slaves about the new users and groups when
they are created , providing the opportunity for the slaves to perform the associated actions.
There can be some problems running these actions in some circumstances, for example if one of
the slaves is powered down. In this case, the master will remember that there are remaining
actions that must be performed and will periodically retry. The system administrator can also
check the slaves status on the menu Users and groups ‣ Slave status and then force the retry of
the actions manually at any time. From this section it is also possible to remove a slave.
There is an important limitation of the master/slave architecture. The master Zentyal server can not
have modules which depend of users and groups, for example filesharing and mail. If the
master has any of these modules installed, they must be un-installed before trying to register any
slave.

- Make sure Zentyal server and the Windows® client can reach each other though a local network
- Make sure the Windows® client has Zentyal as its DNS server
- Make sure both Server and client are perfectly time sync'ed using NT

hat die 3.5 im Webinterface nicht die option eine Virtuelle Netzwerkkarte einzurichten an bord ?
Bei mir (v.2.2.11)
habe Ich unter Netzwerk -> Schnittstellen
Virtuelle Netzwerkkarten
die möglichkeit eine oder mehrere Bridges anzulegen
... mit Virtualbox hatte ich nur Ärger nach den updates.

Hallo
ein paar Tips für eine schnellere Installation mit VirtIO in KVM
Iso runterladen und vor der Installation als zusätzliches CD-Rom Laufwerk einbinden
http://alt.fedoraproject.org/pub/alt/virtio-win/latest/images/virtio-win-0.1-81.iso
als HD Datei mache ich mir eine Festplatte im RAW Format die gleich den ganzen Speicherplatz belegt - das ist im Betrieb dann etwas schneller aber braucht auch mehr Platz
ein nachträgliches vergrössern um 10 Gigabyte ist schnell mit
qemu-img resize meinehd.raw +10G
erledigt
Netzwerk & Festplattencontroller auf VirtIO umstellen
VirtIO Disk Cache mode von default auf none setzen - Das spart bei der Installation 1 Stunde (Ich mache das im Virt-Manager)
Windows Installation
wenn er keine Festplatte findet mit Treiber laden zu der Virtio CD navigieren - Netzwerk & Festplattencontrollertreiber nachinstallieren
schon gehts los
Im letzten Drittel der Installation die Taste SHIFT+F10 drücken , da geht dann ein cmd Prompt Fenster in Windows auf
und folgendes ausführen
bootsect /nt60 SYS /mbr
Damit wird der MBR neu geschrieben.
- das kannst du auch mehrmals machen
Das verhindert das er nach dem Neustart nicht Booten kann, das ist mir bei der Installation mehrmals passiert - warum auch immer
Das wars dann schon
