Installation and Upgrades / Re: Apache
« on: February 25, 2008, 08:01:22 pm »
I found out what was preventing my sites from being seen!
I had to open the firewall in ebox from the outside to ebox.

I changed the listening port of ebox to 8443 and I can start Apache.
But...
I can see ebox with: https://192.168.1.251:8443/ebox --> works fine!
I can see lampp with: https://192.168.1.251 --> that's not what I want! I want: http://192.168.1.251
What can I do?

Installation and Upgrades / Apache
« on: February 22, 2008, 12:32:58 pm »
I have another machine which is a web server with suse 10.3 + lampp + moodle + phpnuke + wordpress + mediawiki.
Is it possible to use the ebox machine to work with all this??
All these sites are accessible from the outside and from the LAN. (we are a school)
For this I would need apache, php, mysql, right?

What if I want to be able to put the users in a group when I'm creating them?
What changes do I have to make in the script so that it will put the user in its group?
Must i create groups previously?

Installation and Upgrades / user pwd
« on: December 28, 2007, 12:37:40 pm »
Hi!
I want to know if there is a way of letting the users choose their passwords the first time they login!
I would create the users account with a password and in the first login they would change it!
Is this possible?
Another question: i want to use ebox in a school. My users are students and teachers. The students are organized into classes. My idea is to group users according to classes. Will the folders reflect this organization? I don't want to search for students to be able to copy an exam, for instance! I want to go to a folder where all that class students are.
