Installation and Upgrades / [SOVLED] Zentyal Asterisk
« on: July 30, 2013, 08:04:19 pm »
I would like to use the Asterisk that is build in to Zentyal, but one of the lib files that I need is not part of the Zentyal build of Asterisk.  I now that I would have to down the source code and built it. The file that I need is the chan_dahdi.so.  Is their anything special commands that need for recompiling the Asterisk code not to break the current configs?  Or could I compile on a different computer and just copy the .so file to my current running config and I should be able to now load the module that I need?  I am running on Zentyal 3.0.22 and the current asterisk version 1.8.10.1

Yes..   I also reboot the computer and I see the error message as the computer is booting up..

Dear Christian,

still ISP do not resolve our issue for reverse DNS, they said to keep on wait for the next 48hours again. :(
i was checkup the mail.log and found out that if i send from inside LAN (at office) it got trough.
but if it is send from WAN (outside office) even using port 587 or 465 is it going to be rejected by ISP.

i cek the message source and see something,
if i send from inside the office, it got trough, the message source is like below
Received: from [192.168.10.100] (unknown [192.168.10.100])
by WELLDONE2 (Postfix) with ESMTPSA id 8952D100322B2
   for <bouvy@padepokan-suralaya.co.cc>; Tue, 24 Apr 2012 14:56:56 +0700 (WIT)
if i send from ouside the office, it bounced, the message is like below
Received: from [192.168.77.199] (unknown [111.94.127.137])
by WELLDONE2 (Postfix) with ESMTPSA id 2181110046C02
   for <bouvy@padepokan-suralaya.co.cc>; Wed, 25 Apr 2012 04:19:22 +0700 (WIT)
i think it was cause by the header.
i browse and look around for solution regarding rewriting the header in postfix, using regex, using header_checks option, etc and had no luck to make it work in zentyal.
i just wonder how to change the line "Received: from [192.168.77.199] (unknown [111.94.127.137])"
into something like "Received: from [192.168.10.9] (localhost [127.0.0.1])"
could you help me on this ?

Regards

B_Khuwera,

I run my own mail server use Zentyal and Zarafa,  I did not call my ISP and have them change the PTR and I have not made any change to the how Zarafa or Zenytal receives email.

In the mail server options tab I have setup my mail server to relay thru my iSP'S mail server so I have the smarthost set to outgoing.myisp.com:587 and smarthost authenitcation set to user & password (this is depended on your ISP) I do run in to some places that treats my email like spam but for the most I have no problems. I also have server mail name set to FQDN Hostname

I hope that this helps,

Hi Honza007,

All ISP cache routes with other ISP the routes session are called  BGP (Border Gateway Protocol) there is no real way to turn this off, if they did the Internet would not work because the routers would not know how it get the destination that you are trying to get to. Different ISP how different routes that they would take to the destination that you are trying to get to but they weigh the route back so the ISP controls the routes back to you. Ex. ( If the shortest route to the destination IP is going out Gateway 1 but the return path is shortest from Gateway 3  the packets will come back to you thru Gateway 3 and return to you. If the server that you are trying to get to is in the same ISP network as you are in than that is going to be the shortest path back to you so the packets would go out Gateway 2 and come back Gateway 2.)

Best regards

Hello Daniel,
so far i know, you could only choose one eMail-System.

Zarafa or the build in with postfix, roundcube and so on.

Hi there

Many thanks. Do you know how to select Zarafa rather than the other as it doesnt let me deselect the IMAP and POP checkboxes from the MAIL tab to enable them in the zarafa groupware tab. I've only ever had it half working, and even then it wasnt working right.

Kind Regards, Thanks for your support so far

Hello Daniel,

I had the same problem I ended up delete the Web Mail from the system. Now I was able to configure Zarafa for POP, POPS & IMAP, IMAPS. From what I have been able to gather you don't need the web mail interface since you are using Zarafa and it's web interface or its POP and IMAP.

Good day,
I am new to Zentyal. I actually tested ebox 1.5.1 and got that working fine. But my problem with Zentyal 2.0-3 is that, I setup the DNS and PDC and the winxp pro sp3 machine sees the domain but access to join the domain is denied. The installation for Zentyal does not allow you to create a user for those purposes as ebox 1.5.1 did (it said for non-administrative). When I go to users to create one, there is not option to grant admin rights for the domain. Unless I am missing something PLEEEEEEASE help me. How do I create a that will allow me to join client to the domain?
Hello,
To join WinXP PRO to the Zentyal domain create a new user and then edit that user and find the section that talks about PDC/File sharing account make sure that the user is enabled and that you check the Administration rights is checked than click on change than click on save changes if it turn red at the top of the screen. And now try to join the domain using that user.

I got 5 email from basically the some domain name the only thing that was different was they changed the 4 to 5 characters before the ".com". Do you have any type of wildcard that can be used in the domain field.

Thanks
