Installation and Upgrades / Needing eBox install CD even to use apt-get?

I installed eBox 1.0 from the ISO today.
I get that error when I try to apt-get stuff. I don't have an optical drive in this PC and don't wanna have to keep a USB drive mounted all the time. Is there an easier way to install software? Do I need to tell it it can actually use the Internet connection it has?

I'm asking because I'm sure I can change this, but I would've like to be able to access eBox from my phone's browser instead of having to open PuTTYmobile because clicking is much easier than typing on that little thing. Just wondering if there's a way to change how the web interface works externally.

Installation and Upgrades / Moving static IPs to another adapter

Is it going to be possible for me to move the static IPs I'm assigning to another ethernet adapter when I get that plugged in? I'm afraid because I've added 30 static routes already and don't wanna go through typing all of this in again.
My Situation
eBox installed into a machine without all of the hardware it should have because I will be shutting down my network later today to move it. I am currently setting up the eBox unit with all the right settings so it will just be a matter of moving the hardware, reassigning which interfaces get what IPs and settings, and then plugging it back in. From there I can do the rest of the things I would need to do like moving the data for certain domains and making sure the Internet works.
Is this possible or would a module have to be written to include this functionality?

When referring to eBox, I'm referring to the ISO from the website.
Can I DHCP an address and then statically assign it to use this? My ISP provides IPs via DHCP, but I can take that IP and statically assign it. So far, I've had one since April 2008. Using Windows, the IP ends up changing while I'm using it after a few months so I dunno what that's all about. Although, I have one setup in Gentoo which is unchanging. If I move that IP to eBox (using the same adapter and MAC), then could I have a similar experience w/ eBox considering the networking functions are mostly the same as Gentoo?

Does this mean that only DNS caching of subdomains doesn't work or actual domain subdomains for webpages isn't working? I'm trying to figure out if eBox support the ability for me to setup my home network as the host for my family's webpages as I've done with Gentoo.
Would forwarding needs.tomove.com to moving.com work? Can I even make a subdomain for any eBox hosted domain? Does eBox host domains for the Internet as well so I can host my family's webpages at home (I have a static IP)?

Now that I know eBox is it's own thing where I can download an ISO, and it'll work all the drivers itself, I need to copy the config where where I put all my static routes so when I install eBox into this machine, I won't have to spend 2 hours reconfiguring all the routes by hand. Anyone know how? I think the files are in /var/lib/ebox/conf.d, but I dunno which files I'd need specifically. I just want my routes and domains I'm setting up w/ eBox. The rest of the info I'm fine redoing.

Almost every port is closed tight with the ebox-firewall, but i got SSH access to the server. What file do i have to change to gain access to the server again?
Found some files in /etc/ebox, but didnt find anything that looked right. My linux-skills is not that high, but im a novice at learning ;p
Hope you guys can help me, and a wonderfull project!
Just to note, I had that problem yesterday too.

That is a good thing. How /do/ I setup a guest account access for Samba using eBox? My assumption is that with eBox, anytime you change something in terminal, it will conflict with the way eBox does things.

After installing ebox and configuring it, usually after a reboot, I become unable to access the page anymore until uninstalling reinstalling, then it does it again.
I have no clue what the issue is. When installing it, I changed the default port to 10000 the first time, this time I can't remember if I did it or not but I do know I was accessing it from 443; although, I can't access ebox no matter what port I try and even if I try on the machine itself directly.
I ended up reformatting the machine, only installing OpenSSH and letting eBox do the rest. It was working perfectly until I restarted, now I have no access again.
Anyone?

I think there's a bug if you assign a virtual interface with the number 0 where it does not exist, you cannot delete it because it doesn't exist, and you can't add one over it because there is something there. My guess is, this is why it breaks the configuration of accessing this thing over the web even on the machine itself.

I also figured out it seems to be a TLS1.0/SSL3.1 issue. I actually remade my cert, and it worked until I restarted and eBox refused to start

I'm running it on Ubuntu Server 8.10 which means I'm using a testing version if I'm not mistaken. If so, I have a few bugs to report as well
