P2P encryption may also cause some problems.

Obfuscation and encryption make traffic harder to detect and therefore harder to throttle

Possible is that. I have tested with latest Vuze and latest Zentyal (with new instalation).

Hi,

I have tetting up a pc with latest Zentyal, to serve a High School with 700 students. And I have a problem withe traffic chaping (L7).

On p2p I have setting on guaranteed rate: 0 Kbit/s and Limited rate: 60 Kbit/s both on internal and external network adapter.

I have tested and get at least 100 to 150 KBytes/s, looks that the traffic shaping isn't working.

What possibly am I doing wrong?

In dansguardian there is no folder with bannedsitelist. Is there a way of installing them?

Yes, Ebox does filter sex an other pages. The only thing that I want is blocking proxy sytes such as "anonymouse.org", the students use this proxy web sites for bypassing the filter, and dansguardian has a black list for proxy.

I will try that.

Hi,

I have seen the dansguardian.conf file and theres several lists of banned sites wich have #. I have tried to unmark several lists to use them. But when I restart squid they return to the original.

How can I do this. In fact I want the proxy, porn, violence lists on my school blocked.

HI.

I think My squid cache isn't working (system ebox 0.11)

I am crrently using only 1% of my disk 200Gb.


I have in squid.conf mem_cache of 100Mb and have tried tu raise it for 700Mb (my PC has 1Gb), and after that, tried to restart squid with an error that y cache memory is larger than disk cache.


Any hep is apretiated.

Sorry using your thread, but my problem is similar.


I have eBox o.11 running since 20 December, but I think the squid proxy isn't working.

I only have 1% of disk usage (of 220Gb).

I have tried running this commands:

ebox squid stop //squid stopped

squid -z //with unsuccess it says that squid is already running)

ebox squid start //squid started

But I think everything is the same.

I'll appreciate any help.

Thank's it is allready in portuguese(Brasilian portuguese).

I think that it should have pt_pt (portuguese) and pt_br (brasilian portuguese).

There are several HTML templates under /etc/dansguardian/languages/ directory where you may modify the one which corresponds to your language if installed. eBox does not handle them.

Sorry this HIjack, but I have a question concerned this. I have changed in dansguardian.conf the language from ukenglish to portuguese, and restarted the proxy via web, and wen visited a denied site I get ann proxy error and 1 or 2 minutes later it was again on english. It has reconfigured dansguardian.conf again for english. I have inside the folder languages the folder portuguese with 2 files.

I would apreciate any coment.
