Installation and Upgrades / Default route not being added
« on: November 11, 2022, 06:58:38 am »
For some reason, my setting in Network > Gateways isn't translating into a default route for the system.  I have a gateway entry, it is enabled, it is set as default, but no corresponding item appears in the system's routing table.  Has anyone else seen this behavior?  Running Zentyal 7.0.3

Email and Groupware / Outlook 2013, 2016, and 2019

Today I learned that there actually IS a way to manually configure an account in Outlook 2013 and newer for ActiveSync instead of relying on Autodiscover, which Zentyal/SOGo no longer provides.

The trick is this: You cannot add the account from within Outlook itself.  Doing so will use Outlook's "new" configuration screen that doesn't allow manual configuration for Exchange protocols.  The account must be added from the legacy config screen, available in the Mail control panel or by running OLCFG.EXE from Office's program directory (e.g. C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\root\Office16).  After that it's pretty straightforward.

I tested this earlier today using Outlook 2019 and Zentyal 6.2, and it provides mail/contact/calendar sync without the use of a 3rd party plugin.

I have been told ActiveSync has some limitations, and of course the Zentyal admin advises not to do ActiveSync on mailboxes that are larger than 1GB, but does anyone know specifics?

Email and Groupware / Outlook 2019 not syncing messages
« on: November 20, 2019, 07:39:06 am »
I'm trying to connect Outlook 2019 to a Zentyal 6.1 server via ActiveSync, and although Outlook connects, authenticates, and all the correct folders appear... no messages sync.  I've examined the server's /var/log/sogo/sogo.log and I don't see anything particularly damning.  Anybody dealt with this before?

Email and Groupware / Re: Batch Whitelisting

Thanks!  That worked nicely with a little text processing to put the existing list in the right format.

redisvi is a really handy tool to have available!

I am familiar with using stubs to affect the generation of config files.  And I suppose I could put my whitelisted addresses into a stub to be written into /etc/spamassassin/local.cf, but they would be invisible and therefore uneditable by the web GUI.

Email and Groupware / Batch Whitelisting [SOLVED]
« on: August 21, 2019, 01:23:32 am »
Does anyone know how to import a bunch of whitelisted addresses and domains in a plain text file dumped from another mail filter?  I see the Sender Policy is reflected in /etc/amavis/conf.d/zentyal-01 and /etc/spamassassin/local.cf, but both of those files get overwritten by changes in the web GUI.
