Installation and Upgrades / Re: Heartbleed bug in openssl libary

Hello, thanks for the reports.

We are aware of this and updates are on their way. We run them on a staged basis so our testing servers went first.

Our configuration management system will ensure all systems are patched by tomorrow, but we are manually updating public servers.

Thank you very much for your report. A bug related to uppercase characters in usernames was found and fixed.

I think this shall be resolved now. Can you try again and share the result?

(Just in case, remember that you must enter your username with uppercase characters "MarcinK").

Hello Marcin,

I have reviewed this and I can't find any issue related to your user.

Are you logging in with your forum username (MarcinK) and password?

Both and are now available.

Tracker system can be accessed using the forum credentials (we will also add information to the login page).

We are still undergoing the setup for Wiki accounts, but at this time they will likely be granted on demand (we beg a little patience about this, we'll get back).

Thanks all for your support!

Installation and Upgrades / Re: Moving accounts / OU along the LDAP tree

I would be surprised if it can't be done using any LDAP management interface in case you run Zentyal without file sharing (Samba).
With file sharing deployed, as I don't know how synchro between the 2 LDAP servers works, there is perhaps some side effect.
For those having test platform, this is very easy to test it.

With file sharing this doesn't work correctly. "Users and Groups" tool shall be used (or ideally, Zentyal interface would support this), but the sync process shows a warning. This requires some extra development: see Feature Request,18835.0.html .

Hello Matze.

Thank you for the feedback. You are right, this doesn't seem the best practice. It is worth mentioning that passwords are not stored in plain text, they are stored as salted hashed passwords in our database, but sending them through email may not be the best idea.

It's useful from a usability point of view for some user profiles, but we understand your concern. We'll be revisiting this soon trying to improve the registering mechanism and avoiding sending secrets over email.

In any case, sorry about that password.

I don't think there's a limit. I think it is possible that an interface "br10" has been created, but Zentyal knows only about 9 bridges. In this situation, creating a new bridge could generate the error you see.

Can you run in a console "ifconfig -a" and paste the full output here?

Today we are performing some maintenance tasks to the forums, starting at 23:00 UTC+2.

During that, the service may become unavailable. Expected downtime is below 1 hour.

I have just tested and it works correctly for me :?.

Are we perhaps mixing the forum "username" with the "name" (used for display only)? This can be seen in Profile / Modify Profile / Account Settings.

This should be fixed now. Please give it another try with your forum member account (

We are doing some slight adjustments to permissions but hopefully they'll be transparent for people.

Regards and sorry for the inconvenience!

What about mail for .org addresses?

Mmmm... What do you mean? Is something failing?

It's been migrated today. Sorry for the inconveniences.
