Title: additional domain controller - could not be resolved to its IP address

Hi,

I installed Zentyal 7.0 on Ubuntu 20.04 LTS.
I was trying to configure the Zentyal server to be an additional domain controller.
When I tried to enable the modual "Domain Controller and File Sharing", an error message popped up and said

Quote

Some modules reported error when saving changes . More information on the logs in /var/log/zentyal/
The DC pdc.peta.lan could not be resolved to its IP address. Please check the specified server name and DNS server.

pdc.peta.lan is my main domain controller.
I couldn't find a solution to this issue. Please help and thanks!

Hi,

you are trying to install additional machine on a network. The error clearly stated that the DNS entry for pdc.peta.lan does not exist. So you have to either change your network config and point DNS to your DC or use IP rather an internal domain name.
