Installation and Upgrades / Cannot telnet and/or connect on some IP
« on: October 09, 2013, 02:35:54 am »
I replaced my old version of Zentyal from v2 to v3 with the new hardware. All seems to be working as expected with 1 issue, i cannot telnet and/or connect on specific IP lets say 10.37.2.17 using the new Zentyal. But when i returned back to original Zentyal everything is working well. I tried pinging using new Zentyal and it has reply, tried telneting to 10.37.2.16 and it is working. I do not know what I'm missing

Installation and Upgrades / Zentyal upgrade problem
« on: October 01, 2013, 08:02:55 am »
I have Zentyal 2 running and everything works perfectly fine. I wanted to upgrade it to new hardware and version of Zentyal so what i did was i coied all the setting from old Zentyal to new Zentyal manually. Meaning copying it line by line. Im sure that everything was copied exactly. When i replaced the old Zentyal i can ping some of my servers but i cannot connect on them via putty. Also when i go to some services it does not load the page. I do not know if this is something to do with DNS or IP forwarding. Please help

Installation and Upgrades / IP address migration
« on: September 24, 2013, 04:48:53 am »
Currently i have 2 Zentyal one is running the policy and the other one as routing only. Zpolicy has 129.x.x.200 IP and the Zrouting has 129.x.x.1. I'm planning to migrate all my users from 129.x.x.x IP address to 10.x.x.x/22 series of ip address. I copied all the settings of Zrouting to my new Zrouting manually. My question is what are the things i need to configure enable for my plan to work? All i need is 1. migrate all my users static 129.x.x.x IP to DHCP 10.x.x.x IP address. DO i need static routing?

Setup:

ZPolicy IP: 129.x.x.200
ZRouting IP: 129.x.x.1
Configuration: Network is in static mode
ZPolicy is facing the Internet
ZRouting is facing the LAN

eth1 - 129.x.x.1
netmask - 255.255.0.0
virtual interface - 129.x.x.2

eth2 - 10.x.x.42 (our gateway)

eth3 - new 10 series IP address. DHCP

Hi All,

I have Zentyal 2.0 with OpenVPN installed properly. Everything is working just perfect fine when my Zentyal froze and i had to restart the Zentyal. When booting up i see errors dansguardian - fail, apache2  - fail, openvpn - fail. "Run the init script with the no-daemon option - fail. Now My VPN connection won't start and the openvpn daemon does not start as well. I tried to google everything but no luck. When i start the openvpn by running /etc/init.d/ebox openvpn start it keeps on failing and giving error message Could not get lock for service: openvpn. Its so frustrating. Please help

Installation and Upgrades / Invalid CIDR value in Network Object
« on: September 18, 2013, 02:13:21 am »
Hi to everyone,

I'm just new in tis forum and this is my first post. I hope someone can guide setting up the DHCP function of our Zentyal. To give you background of what ive been doing.

1. I have enable the DHCP in Zentyal
2. I define ranges in DHCP per group
   10.0.128.0 - 10.0.131.0 all in /22 mask
3. Tried to define the group in network object

But when setting static IP via network object and select /22 mask it gives me an error that the CIDR value is invalid. Is there a workaround for this?
