Yes, this can be done also.
Note that in "object policy" you can change it per object.
That means that access for some objects can be filtered by setting up filter profiles.
In my case, I have some users blocked from specific sites, while others can surf freely.
The same filter list can be inverted to only allow specific sites.

Hi,
What you want is to surf only "whitelisted" websites.
On firewall level this can be done, on proxy level you would have to use "Domain filter settings" to block all sites not in the url list.
If it does not work, you may have to use explicit proxy.

On 2.2.x I have been able to set it up and it has been working flawless ever since.
Are you sure there is no other router on the network, router/modem combo or other device that may be doing NAT?

The Squid package for Zentyal (or better said Ubuntu) comes pre-compiled, and I wouldn't mess with compiling it myself.
I think you refer to aufs vs. ufs? Only way to find out is to try it.
Should work just fine though.
Edit again: Just looked it up, couldn't find any options regarding ufs/aufs at compile time, at least on Ubuntu.

There have been several issues with multiWAN, there are different topics about it.
Based on your findings, I would say it is a bug. Moreover if multiWAN functioned in previous versions.

Si eres root, no hay necesidad de usar "sudo".

Look at the second image, "Internal network".
You are allowing http straight through, effectively bypassing the proxy.
Start with changing that rule to "deny" and try again.
Edit: When you used transparent proxy, that traffic was intercepted on port 80 (no adjustment needed).
Now that you switched to explicit, you have to change the rules.

Sadly, no.
If you upgrade from a beta to stable release you will get problems.
As far as I can remember upgrades are always problematic, even between stable versions.
You can get away with a config backup and restore perhaps.

Hola,
Activa los dos, pero fíjate bien en las conexiones entrantes. Como el balanceo de carga cambia las interfaces de salida, algunas aplicaciones pueden no funcionar correcto.
Esto fue el caso en versiones anteriores de Zentyal (2.2.x), repito deberías probar si esto funciona bien en la versión de Zentyal que estas usando.
Como alternativa puedes establecer reglas para aplicaciones especificas, para que siempre salen por un enlace determinada.

El proxy en Zentyal funciona muy bien, y no hay que agregar reglas ni nada. Marcando la opción transparente, automaticamente se intercepta el trafico en el puerto 80.

Obviously I don't agree with removing stuff, it will make sense if you look at the bigger picture:
Ebox started out as an all-in-one Linux box and a lot of people (including me) jumped on that bandwagon.
Several years later, Zentyal takes another route, the "drop in replacement" for MS Small Business Server.
First I was trying to move away from MS solutions, but hey, now I have to be compatible again?
I never liked that route and I still don't like it.
Christian also didn't like it.
While Zentyal today still offers some of the goodies I need, I might eventually have to look for another distro if this MS stuff gets too serious.
There are a lot of other projects that do have a rich feature set, even supporting IPv6.
Modules moved to contrib - You might as well declare them deceased. I haven't got the skills to maintain any of them and I think that goes for the bulk of our community.
