Title: Migrate from samba 3 importing users to LDAP
Post by: ssitservice on December 13, 2016, 04:49:04 pm
Hello

I have a domain based on samba 3 and various windows 7 PC joined.
I'm configuring now a zentyal server to replace the old domain controller. I would like to have, if possible, all the PCs and user accounts imported into zentyal so that I do not need to re-join the PCs and above all I'd like to be able to import the users into Zentyal's ldap with their original samba SIDs so that I do not have to love the user profile on windows.

Is there a way to do that? I used so far Apache Directory Studio to log into ldap (I can export from the old domain) and on zentyal tried to import the one user configuration exported but the object class is not accepted by zentyal (smabaSamAccount).

Can anyone shed some light on this?

Many thanks
