Title: Zentyal 2.0 Virtual Machine images available!
Post by: J. A. Calvo on December 28, 2010, 10:08:50 am
Hi Zentyal community members,

The Zentyal team is glad to announce the return of the VM images that were already available for eBox 1.4 and are now updated with the latest 2.0 packages.

You can download disk images for VirtualBox and VMware as usual and this time we also provide a disk image for KVM users.

We consider that VM images offer a quick and easy way to have your first experience with Zentyal without having to install it. All you need to do is just to create a Virtual Machine with your favorite virtualization tool and use the pre-installed Zentyal disk image.

To download the images or to get more information, please visit:

Please note that the VM images come with a reduced set of Zentyal modules. In reality Zentyal offers many more features and once you have created your VM, you simply need to enable them in the "Software Management" section.

As always, any feedback or suggestion about the images would be much appreciated!

Happy New Year!

Hi J.A.Calvo,

do you have any documentation on how to install the images ?

For example, I download the kvm image, create a new machine and after the boot, the image was not recgonized as a bootable disk.

Probably I didn't use the correct configuration on XML definition file. Could you provide an XML example or any link explaining how to do it ?

Thanks in advance,
Josir Gomes
