Hi Uwef,

Mail retrieval via fetchmail is a option. I believe as default Zentyal is already set-up as a fully fledged mail server. All you would need to do is get it a external IP, allow port 25 through the firewall and add a MX record for your external IP.

Mail retrieval is used when you don't have a domain, ie want to get your mail from gmail, or your ISP/Hosting provides hosts your e-mails and you want to bring them into your local server.

Hi Guys,

I would like to attempt to integrate Zimbra instead of Zarafa. How do you install Zarafa at the moment (ie when you tick the box)? Is there a script that runs in the background? If so can you show me where I can find it so I can attempt to reverse engineer

Try using sudo to change the password if you want to use root access. Most debian distro's don't have a root password set but the initial user created has sudo rights. sudo passwd root
