French / aliases non résolus
« on: January 21, 2014, 11:50:05 am »

« on: December 18, 2013, 12:36:57 pm »
Bonjour

Guillaume

French / XDMCP sur Zentyal 2.2.4
« on: January 24, 2012, 11:41:53 am »
Bonjour

Merci

Installation and Upgrades / XDMCP on Zentyal
« on: January 24, 2012, 11:39:41 am »
Hi!

I would like to use XDMCP on the server. I'm quite used to XDMCP with KDE (kdm settings), but using LXDE, I can't find informations or experiences.

Is it possible ?

Thanks.

Installation and Upgrades / Extremely slow network perf with AR8131 NIC
« on: January 15, 2012, 07:50:00 pm »
Hi

is there any known issue with Zentyal 2.2-4 and Atheros AR8131 Gigabit NIC ? I'm facing a situation where the nic installs fine but is slow when used and tends to freeze all traffic.

The server works fine but the speed on lan is less than 1Mb/s. It takes 4 minutes to copy 40 Mo to or from the server...

Obviously I tested several cables, and also 2 switches (one 100 Mb and one 1000 Mb). Same effect.

Here's detailed info on the hardware :

Code: [Select]
Motherboard : ASUS P5G41T-M LE
Ethernet card onboard MB : Atheros Comm. AR8131 Gigabit [1969:1063] Rev c0

lshw :

Any help/info welcomed.

French / Problème lenteur LAN
« on: January 15, 2012, 05:05:26 pm »

Hi!

I have a problem with the logon script not being executed by "simple users" (not having administrators rights).

Using Zentyal 2.0.22 and XP SP3 clients (correctly joined to the domain)

Everything works as expected for admin accounts, but when my users are simply users, the logon script is not even executed at all!

I'm using the default conf proposed by Zentyal (netlogon share and perms, zentyal-logon.bat script...). I only modified the logon.bat.mas template to add my shares and installed tofrodos package to be able to unix2dos the generated logon.bat script.

Is this "normal" ?
What is to be done so that it works for simple users ?

Thanks in advance. Any help appreciated...

French / exécution du script de logon [RESOLU]
« on: August 13, 2011, 08:24:28 pm »
Bonjour

Installation and Upgrades / Zentyal as server only : no web access
« on: July 12, 2011, 08:06:47 pm »
Hi!

I'm trying to evaluate Zentyal 2.04 (32 bits) as a DC and file server only with ONLY 1 ethernet card. I don't want this server to act as a router/firewall.

My Network is based on a pfSense firewall/gateway with 6 ethernet cards:
- WAN 1 > pppoe (bridged with public ip)
- WAN 2 192.168.200.254 > adsl box
- LAN 1 > lan 192.168.0.0/24
- LAN 2 > lan 192.168.3.0/24
- LAN 3 > lan 192.168.5.0/24 (zentyal was tested here vainly)
- LAN 4 > lan 192.168.9.0/24 (zentyal is here as 192.168.9.1 with def gtw 192.168.9.254)

My pfSense rules are basic : everything's allowed for LAN4. With a simple test PC I have internet access.

After 2 days and several installs, Zentyal still does not access the internet but has access to my other Lans. I've tried and checked and even replaced everything that is involved : ethernet pci cards, switches, ethernet cables...

Whatever I do, still the same :
Zentyal pings my Lans
Zentyal is administered remotely from lan 1 or 2
Zentyal and zentyal dhcp clients cannot reach the web

Though I did not install the gateway module, I have noticed that /proc/sys/net/ipv4/ip_forward is always 1. If I set it to 0 by hand, I must restart the network, which re-sets ip_forwarding to 1 !

What am I missing ? Is it me ?
Is it possible for Zentyal not to be used as a router ?

Thanks for any idea... I'm desperate!

Guillaume

PS : I just managed to have the "0" value in ip_forward by disabling the firewall. No internet anyway !!!
