Just realized this is in the incorrect place, if I could have a moderator please move this to feature requests.
I understand that every software has it's downfalls, and it's strengths.
Personally I love Zentyal. But it is so *expletive* difficult to secure with your own SSL that I'm about through with it.
This is supposed to be "the small business server". Why are we not using something as simple as LetsEncrypt, allowing users the ability to generate certificates instead of having them essentially break the functionality of the server just to get it secured?
To be honest, I don't think it would be that hard to implement either. I think it can easily be done with a patch update.

Probably just as well you posted it here. It'd likely get lost in the Feature Requests forum along with the spam that festers there.
If I could find up-to-date information about building a dev environment, I'd gladly tackle this myself. Even just a way to import your own certs would be a step forward.

I can't find documentation for anything. Haha.
For something that's "community" or "developer" edition, there is almost no development documentation.

I have created a ticket for it!

Since my first ticket for Let's Encrypt support: https://github.com/zentyal/zentyal/issues/1836 (it has been closed by Zentyal Team).
I have created a second ticket for Let's Encrypt support which has been closed by Zentyal Team too.
I have created a third ticket for Let's Encrypt support, can you like, comment on it?
