Thanks doncamilo! My solution was to update from version 5.1 to 6, but i had several problems that i was finally able to solve!

I see that the problem is because the backup is of version 5.1 and the new installation is 6.0.1 ...

Is there a way to restore an old backup in version 6?

Hello,

I have a problem with Zentyal 5, I tried to update to version 6 but it resulted in errors and the operating system was damaged ...

I have installed version 6 to restore my backup but I get an error that is not possible because it was generated with version 5.

Some error has happened in Zentyal:

Could not restore the backup because a mismatch between its Zentyal version and the current system version. Backup was done in Zentyal version 5.1.1 and this system could only restore backups from Zentyal version 6.0

How can I do to restore my backup in this case?

Other modules / Problem DNS - kinit: password incorrect

Hi friends,

I have a problem with Module DNS when start or restart service show:




In the file zentyal.log show:




In the PCs not found the DNS resolution:


The correct result is: lan.metacol.empresa (name of domain)

I try set the password of the Domain Admin for the user dns-domain but not working. ¿Can someone help me with a solution?

Te aconsejo que actualices tu version a la 5.0 ya que esa version que usas esta obsoleta y sin soporte!

Sucede lo mismo al intentar crear otro usuario con nombre diferente?

Como prueba se puede crear otro usuaurio y ver el log de zentyal "cat /var/log/zentyal/zentyal.log" a ver que errores salen

Hola para solucionar tu problema realiza lo siguiente:

• Ingresar a las "Actualizaciones instaladas" que esta en la ventana de Windows Update
• Buscar la actualizacion "KB3000850" y "KB2992611" y las desinstalas
• Reiniciar el PC
• Agregar las actualizaciones anteriores a la lista de "Ocultas" para evitar que se vuelvan a instalar
• Ingresar de nuevo a Outlook y probar que funcione todo de nuevo

Para las funciones de Gateway, firewall y proxy mejor utiliza pfSense

Y para las funciones de DHCP, DNS, Active Directory utiliza Zentyal

Hi I want to tell my case,

Once more Zentyal I was disappointed with their problems unresolved,...

Today suddenly stopped the samba service and I have 6 hours doing many tests but without any success, I have read all this post and also have made the solution of: https://tracker.zentyal.org/issues/1090 and: https://github.com/Zentyal/zentyal/commit/b2c81f37d531b8d62aa1864ccf54c850e484db29 ...  none worked

Had Zentyal 3.5 when stopped samba and all users of the network were out of the "File Sharing" upgrade to version 4.0.5 (last with all updates) and there is no solution to my problem, samba stopped and fail.

Now I have to reinstall everything all back to create the users in the domain, and create folders shared :(this is too frustrating relying on this "solution" Zentyal and have these problems on the network of the company

Hopefully some day Zentyal has a truly stable version...

Hola,

Reviso la siguiente

• Ejecuta el comando "nslookup" el resultado debe ser Ej: servidor.dominio.local con los datos de tu servidor y dominio configurado, si no te arroja este resultado el problema es de DNS
• Debes revisar que la cuenta que estes usando para agregar los equipos al dominio tengan los permisos de "Administradores de dominio" o puedes crear un nuevo usuario con permisos de "Administradores de dominio"

Hola amigo, la verdad a mi en ninguna version me fue bien con el modulo de proxy, pero en esta version 4 ellos mismos advierten que retiraran el soporte a los modulos de proxy, ids, etc. ya que solo se enfocaran en el tema de Mail y Active Directory que en esto lo hace muy bien

Mi recomendacion es que migres todo el tema de seguridad a pfSense y el tema de directorio lo mantengas con Zentyal 4

Hola,

No yo realizo los filtrados con SquidGuard y las listas negras las descargo desde http://www.shallalist.de/ son las mas completas que he visto

Sobre Zentyal desde la version 3.5 y ahora mas la version 4 estan enfocados en los servicios de directorio, correo, servicios que ofrece Windows Server por eso los modulos como Proxy no vuelven a tener soporte ni mantenimiento, pero con pfSense y Zentyal trabajando juntos puedes llegar a tener una red muy segura y estable en todos tus servicios

Hola,

Realiza las siguientes pruebas para asegurar que estas bien conectado a la red:

• Revisa que la IP DNS de tu Windows sea la misma del servidor Zentyal
• Ejecuta nslookup en Windows y este debe arrojar la ruta del servidor Ej: servidor.empresa.local
• Dale ping a tu servidor por IP y por nombre Ej: ping 192.168.10.10 - ping servidor - ping empresa.local
• Y finalmente revisa la hora de tu Windows ya que me ha sucedido y ajustando la hora me funciono

Totalmente de acuerdo amigo! siempre tuve problemas con Zentyal y su servicio Proxy de hecho tuve problemas laborales... implemente Zentyal en una red de 80 usuarios con proxy activado y todo se volvio problemas despues de mucho batallar para mejorar el servicio (que fue imposible) fue que conoci pfSense, actualmente estoy usando la version 2.1.5 con squid 2.7.9. con filtrado por categorias, by-pass, cache, entre otras y todo va de maravillas. Mi recomendacion con toda la experiencia que tengo en redes es:

1. Si quieres implementar un servidor de seguridad en tu red: Firewall, Proxy, VPN, etc. la mejor opcion es pfSense 2.1.5
2. Si quieres implementar un servidor de servicios infraestructura: DHCP, DNS, Active Directory, etc. la mejor opcion es Zentyal 4
3. Si quieres virtualizar tus servidores la mejor opcion es Proxmox VE 3.3

Esto te lo puedo decir despues de probar varios sistemas operativos y en diferentes entornos y lo mejor es que es licencia es gratuita aunque tambien puedes pagar tu servicio de soporte
