Installation and Upgrades / [SOLVED] Error Restore Backup in Zentyal 6

Hello,

I have a problem with Zentyal 5, I tried to update to version 6 but it resulted in errors and the operating system was damaged ...

I have installed version 6 to restore my backup but I get an error that is not possible because it was generated with version 5.

Some error has happened in Zentyal:

Could not restore the backup because a mismatch between its Zentyal version and the current system version. Backup was done in Zentyal version 5.1.1 and this system could only restore backups from Zentyal version 6.0

How can I do to restore my backup in this case?

Other modules / Problem DNS - kinit: password incorrect

Hi friends,

I have a problem with Module DNS when start or restart service show:




In the file zentyal.log show:




In the PCs not found the DNS resolution:


The correct result is: lan.metacol.empresa (name of domain)

I try set the password of the Domain Admin for the user dns-domain but not working. ¿Can someone help me with a solution?

Hi friends,

I have a problem with Zentyal 3.3 installed on XenServer 6.2. The server has functions of domain (samba), DHCP, DNS and File Sharing, my problem is that always the memory RAM is 100% then becomes very slow Zentyal and sometimes users lose connection to the server.

I have attached a picture of processes (top) and a log of errors that have appeared: "/proc/sys/kernel/hung_task_timeout_secs" disables this message

Hola Foreros,

Agradezco si alguien me puede dar una luz con un problema que se ha presentado en mi servidor Zentyal 3.3, resulta que tengo instalado mi servidor sobre Citrix XenServer hace maso menos 3 meses y ayer de un momento a otro el servidor dejo de dar servicio y se cayo la red para todos los usuarios, revisando los logs encontre varios errores, pero no encuentro la razon del porque paso esto. Lo unico raro es que estaba transfiriendo al servidor informacion (maso menos 200GB) y detuve la transferencia de informacion y empezo otra vez a funcionar con normalidad. Aca les dejo una imagen con el error que me aparece, si alguien sabe que puede haber pasado le agradezco: El error que aparece es sobre: /proc/sys/kernel/hung_task_timeout:secs disables this message

Installation and Upgrades / [SOLVED] Squid3" proxy service consumes all resources on the server

Hello

I have a server Zentyal v.3.0.18 Firewall, DNS, Proxy services, basically only use it to filter Internet content, but I have a problem and it is this consuming all the resources of the server, I have the following hardware configuration:

Server: HP ML150 G5
2 4-Core Intel Xeon 2, 4 GHz processors
3GB of RAM

The problem is that I have 3072 MB of RAM and are being used 3024 MB. I run the "top" command and service squid3 consumes 100% CPU and 94% of the RAM.

I just have a user surfing the Internet, since I'm in test environment to soon put to work in production for 80 users.

They can help to optimize the service proxy and I know because it consumes so many resources of my server, because it is assumed that Zentyal is very light. Do or recommend using Zentyal version 2, which was more stable? and consumed fewer resources

Spanish / [RESUELTO] Problema - Servicio proxy se detiene solo

Hola foreros,

Vengo con un problema que no he podido detectar, resulta que tengo instalado Zentyal 2.2.7 con todos los componentes actualizados hasta la fecha y tengo instalado el servicio Proxy hace mas de dos meses funcionando bien, pero desde ayer se esta deteniendo el servicio, entonces me toca ingresar al Dashboard e iniciarlo manualmente y vuelve a funcionar, pero transcurrido por hay dos horas se vuelve a detener, no entiendo porque? Este problema se presento de un momento a otro, no se ha realizado ningun cambio en la configuracion, solo las actualizaciones.

Alguien que me pueda dar una mano con este problema.

Spanish / No me puedo conectar ni por HTTP ni por HTTPS

Hola foreros,

Sinceramente para que yo postee un problema es porque ya he intentado 1001 cosas para solucionar mi problema sin exito. Intentare describir mi problema lo mas breve y claro posible.

Tengo instalado Ubuntu 10.04 LTS e instale el repositorio de Zentyal segun las instrucciones dadas en esta pagina:

Instalo perfectamente Zentyal, tengo configuradas dos tarjetas de red

1 interna IP = 10.0.0.1
2 externa IP = 190.85.**.***

Al intentar conectarme como siempre le he hecho es abrir Firefox y digitar https://10.0.0.1 o https://190.85.**.*** como no tengo ningun modulo de Zentyal instalado entonces por las dos IPs me podria conectar, pero lo unico que obtengo es un error de no se puede conectar como si la pagina no existiera o no la encontrara, cuando intento conectarme por http://10.0.0.1 o http://190.85.**.*** me aparece un mensaje "IT'S WORKS! .........." pero no carga la consola de Zentyal ya que solo reconoce por HTTPS (443)

Realmente no entiendo el error y no se porque no me conecta, esta instalacion la he realizado muchas veces y esta ha sido la unica que no he podido, la interfaz externa (190.85.**.***) responde perfectamente a las instalaciones los comandos apt-get update y upgrade funcionan perfectamente y la interfaz interna (10.0.0.1) responde desde otro equipo al dar ping, es decir no es un problema de configuracion de las tarjetas de red (o al menos eso creo)

Alguien puede darme un luz para saber que estoy haciendo mal.

Quedo pendiente de alguien que pueda darme una ayuda.

Hi,

I'm a new user of this fantastic Software Zentyal 2.0 has everything i need. GREAT JOB!

I have some problems and questions on the use of PDC, let's start:
.I have installed Ubuntu server 10.04 LTS and the repository Zentyal all the components updates
.All the modules has installed, except: Jabber, VoIP, Groupware and Web mail service

I would like to configure my server as a primary domain controller, but i have not connection with my clients. Some questions about this:
.Do i need to configure LDAP for PDC work? or i'dont?
.I need to share some folders in my network, it's better to use LDAP for this? or i can only share folders without using LDAP?
.GPO's can be applied from Zentyal? or this is not possible?

Configurations:
.Name server: servidor
.PDC: empresa.sml
.IP internal: 192.168.100.100
.IP external: 201.245.**.***
.All modules work fine: DHCP,DNS, etc.
.The server response ping from IP but not from name server, I don't know why.

I want to know any tutorial for the configuration of the PDC in Zentyal, thanks for your time and your help.
