Title: [SOLVED] Configure a linux Client (Ubuntu) to join our Samba 4 Active Directory

Hi,
I can access to AD (samba 4) with Windows XP Client , but I do not know how to do with a client Ubuntu 12.04.
Any advice?

As it works now, would you please kind enough to explain what it does ?  :)  (I mean aside LDAP or Kerberos authentication)

- does it register your host in AD (or AD-like)
- does is permit to inherit from Microsoft concept like GPO or something similar ?
- something else I don't have yet in mind ?

Likewise allows a user to authenticate and authorize access to machines using AD vs local account methods.  It understands group concepts ala RADIUS but that is the extent of it.  To achieve a full roving profile would take additional work (disk drives etc).  That said it "just works" setting up the machine to authenticate to the AD.
