Each Update on zentyal seems to shoot the whole system. Nice project but not usable for production.

German / Nach Update Server nicht mehr erreichbar
« on: December 13, 2013, 08:38:27 pm »

Installation and Upgrades / Can't login on server after upgrade on 3.2
« on: December 13, 2013, 08:27:59 pm »
I just did the upgrade to version 3.2 - after restarting the server, I cannot login any more. My username and password aren't accepted on the webinterface. I cannot connect via ssh either?!
I am really confused! Is there a new default password set after the update process?
Thanks!

« on: January 17, 2013, 10:01:45 am »
Hallo!
After having troubles with different application I found out that the quota on the directory /tmp seems to be 1 MB . Therefore there is no space left in the directory. How do I change this quota?
Kinde Regards!

Installation and Upgrades / Re: Reinstall login-manager

I found a solution: http://forum.zentyal.org/index.php/topic,13628.msg56326.html#msg56326

It wasn't related to the installation of kde-standard. I simply ran out of diskspace!

Installation and Upgrades / Reinstall login-manager
« on: January 14, 2013, 04:26:18 pm »
Hallo!
After installing the KDE Standard Desktop on zentyal I can't log in any longer. The systems starts up and I can connect via ssh. Yet if I put in the username and passwort I can see a blue background for a very short amount of time and afterwards I see again the login-Page.

Am I right that this problem coincides with the installation of kde-standard packages and switching to kdm logon manager?

I have also run
Code: [Select]
sudo dpkg-reconfigure lxdm to set lxdm as the default log on manager.

I have already tried to reinstall the zenbuntu-desktop package but this didn't solve the problem. Before installing kde I have done a backup and stored on the local file system. How can restore the whole server from the console - as the the webinterface isn't working any more.

Kind Regards

Installation and Upgrades / Thin Client and Teamviewer
« on: November 17, 2012, 03:51:56 pm »
Hi!
I am just playing around with the LTSP Thin Client Server. I would like to be able to give remote support with the help of teamviewer to the user of our customers - connected to the zentyal server via thin clients.
Yet it seems that every user gets the same teamviewer id as the server itselft? Does anyone have an idea how to solve this problem?
Thanks!

Yes, I did....

But I found that apache2 overwrites the httpd.conf file every time it is restartet.... So the Directory tag is overwritten....

Where do I put this tag in zentyal webserver?

<Directory /var/www/bugzilla>
AddHandler cgi-script .cgi
Options +ExecCGI
DirectoryIndex index.cgi index.html
AllowOverride Limit FileInfo Indexes Options
</Directory>

Installation and Upgrades / perl scripts in webserver

Hi!
I tried zu execute a cgi file on the apache webserver, yet it doesn't execute the script. Instead it shows only the source-code? Any idea why?
Thanks!

German / Webserver (Bugzilla Installation)
« on: October 24, 2012, 02:01:12 pm »
Hallo!
Besten Dank!

Probably the next-server doesn't really work...?

When trying to connect it says:
Client IP: 192.168.2.101 Mask: 255.255.255.0 DHCP IP: 192.168.2.1
Gateway IP 192.168.2.1

Where 192.168.2.1 is the DHCP-Server and the Gateway. But shouldn't the client be forwarded to the zentyal server?
