Title: "Maximum number of users" message in Zentyal 2.2.x
Post by: Escorpiom on December 19, 2013, 01:01:35 am
After the most recent updates, I'm now getting a warning message on top of the admin interface:

Quote
Please note that the maximum number of users for Community is and you currently have xx

I'm sure this possible restriction has been implemented in the latest updates, but I'm puzzled: Why?
What is the maximum number of users in Zentyal community edition?
Is it necessary to limit the an older version 2.2.11?

Needless to say that this could as well mean the end of my Zentyal server, as this is a non profit project.

Cheers.

Tengo un 3.2 en produccion (soy un inconsiente!! :o) con 15 usuarios y de momento no me dice nada de maximo de usuarios.
Un saludo

We have 12 registered users, using resources on the server. But the number of logged on clients is actually a lot higher.
getting an idea...This is still "to be implemented", surely another update comes around when this limit is going to be enforced.

It would be nice if someone from Zentyal staff could explain what's this all about.

Cheers.

any reason why everyone with this problem is using an old version? We have the same talk in the german section, an user with v2.2.x, too.

Anybody with v3 with this problem?

I don't understand the difference between registered users and logged users  :-[
Do you mean some registered users are connecting from multiple workstation or multiple times from same device, or.... well, I don't understand.
Furthermore, I don't understand how this fits with LDAP authentication.

From my standpoint, either there is a process counting how many accounts are defined in Zentyal or there is some "session management" while accessing Zentyal based application but this aside, I don't understand how one could distinguish between registered and logged accounts.

I'm slightly confused...

My bad Christian.
I should have said "connected clients".

Cheers.

Note: The maximum users message has disappeared today!
