Installation and Upgrades / Re: Outlook sync doens't work
« on: June 29, 2015, 10:52:40 pm »
Have the same problem with Zentyal trial. More than 60 users and emails don't sync in outlook.

POP / SMTP webmail works fine but Open change is giving me a lot of problems.
Plus in some message with attachment, the attachment cannot be open. it keeps say "object not found".

Is this a problem with open change?

Installation and Upgrades / Re: Can't re-provision domain
« on: June 08, 2015, 01:11:45 pm »
Dear Cal-Tec,
I'm having another problem, I think based on the alteration of the schema.

The re-provision worked well but anytime I would like to enable open change mail for each user I got the following error:

root command openchange_newuser --create --enable --mail Firstname.LastName@zentyal-domain.lan 'firstname.Lastname' failed. Error output: params.c:pm_process() - Processing configuration file "/etc/samba/openchange.conf" params.c:pm_process() - Processing configuration file "/etc/samba/shares.conf" Traceback (most recent call last): File "/usr/sbin/openchange_newuser", line 69, in <module> provision.newuser(provisionnames, lp, creds, username=username, mail=opts.mail) File "/usr/lib/python2.7/dist-packages/openchange/provision.py", line 674, in newuser db.modify_ldif(ldif_value) File "/usr/lib/python2.7/dist-packages/samba/__init__.py", line 235, in modify_ldif self.modify(msg, controls) _ldb.LdbError: (16, "objectclass_attrs: attribute 'msExchRecipientTypeDetails' on entry 'CN=Firstname lastname,CN=Users,DC=zentyal-domain,DC=lan' was not found in the schema!") Command output: . Exit value: 1 at /usr/share/perl5/EBox/Sudo.pm line 240

I bet is because I have used your hack but then I deleted and now it can find the right schema where to change user properties.
Sorry but I don't know much of python neither LDAP ....

Thanks for any additional info

Ok, found a way which I don't know if it is the correct one but at least I can send emails outside the local domain.

For the history I just:

- add a new virtual mail domain which is well known by public DNS
- in the user template I choose this domain as the default one
- then correct the former mail address to the new one in manage >> users, this step I have to do it one by one :(

Now I don't know why I cannot create any more openchange account as the log keeps telling me:
 ERROR> Sudo.pm:240 EBox::Sudo::_rootError - root command openchange_newuser  --create  --enable  --mail XXXXXX.XXXXX@XXXXX-XXXX-XXXX.eu  'XXXXXXX.XXXXXX'  failed.

how can I fix this problem?

Thanks
Fed

Hi,
I know this variable is missing since zentyal 4.0 . Is there anyone who can explain how to set it up a virtual mail domain with outgoing mail domain which works?

I have been reading a lot of supposed documentation but in anyone there seems to be some pieces missing ...

Thanks

Installation and Upgrades / OpenChange provicioning error
« on: June 03, 2015, 05:29:41 pm »
Dear all,
I'm facing this annoying error on provicioning Open Change.

I happened after having upgrade from 4.0 to 4.1 and have unistalled open change module before the upgrade and installed back after the upgrade.

Some modules reported error when saving changes . More information on the logs in /var/log/zentyal/

Installation and Upgrades / Users have access to admin rights???
« on: December 05, 2014, 02:46:05 am »
Hello,
I have just tried to install RSAT on user desktop and by connecting to the domain I notice that the user has access to admin rights.

I mean the user can see all the properties of other user and he can also changes some settings.

Is there a method to avoid this?

Thanks

Installation and Upgrades / Re: Z4 Samba ACL Issues

Hello,
I have the same problem described here:

Hello,
I'm trying to mount on the zentyal server a nas folder to be than exported via the file sharing module to windows user.

My fstab line looks like this:
//10.0.0.3/samba       /media/smb      cifs    username=guest,password=,acl,user_xattr,iocharset=utf8,file_mode=0777,dir_mode=0777,noperm              0       0

When I run getfacl command in the mounted folder I received this output:

# getfacl .
# file: .
# owner: root
# group: root
user::rwx
group::rwx
other::rwx

But each time I save the folder in the sharing module I see this error in zentyal log:
Failed to set security descriptor: NT_STATUS_ACCESS_DENIED

By the way the users are able to mount the shared drive which is empty and cannot write on it

What am I doing wrong?

Federico

Thank you very much!

Well, I'm going to check carefully but I think that I found the wrong entries:

samba/conf/SambaShares/keys/smb3: {
   "sync" : 0,
   "zentyal" : "CIS Folder",
   "readOnly" : 1,
   "comment" : "Share for group CIS",
   "groupShare" : "CIS",
   "path_selected" : "zentyal",
   "share" : "CIS",
   "enabled" : 1,
   "guest" : 0,
   "recursive_acls" : 0
}

samba/conf/SambaShares/keys/smb7: {
   "readOnly" : 1,
   "comment" : "Share for group Procurement",
   "sync" : 0,
   "zentyal" : "Procurement",
   "groupShare" : "Procurement",
   "guest" : 0,
   "enabled" : 1,
   "recursive_acls" : 0,
   "share" : "Procurement",
   "path_selected" : "zentyal"
}

Are there any other entry I should look for? Do you suggest to delete it from here?

Again, thanks a lot

FedericoP

Yes,
I tried, and the system tells me it did delete the share group but after it still shows up under file sharing.

I have also tried to delete the share and then click on the change the group button, but nothing happens in file sharing section.
I'm wondering where zentyal stocks the information and delete from there.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Hello,
I have always used this tool:
http://unetbootin.sourceforge.net/

and it really works very good! I have also used it with Zentyal 3.5 not the 4.0 tough.

Hello,
I'm facing the same problem in zentyal 4.0. I previously created  a group, associated a shared folder to it and then deleted it. But in file sharing page the former shared folder still appears in read only mode.

Any way to delete it?

Thanks

Federico

hello everybody,
I have the same problem explained here: https://forum.zentyal.org/index.php?topic=21280.0

but since I'm running a 3.2 premium trial zentyal server I haven't find any way to do a dist-upgrade in order to resolve the problem.
I'm allowed to upgrade the whole system or not?

If yes, how does it work?

Btw, if I can resolve the native problem of openchange provisioning there is no need to do any upgrade.

thanks

Federico
