Installation and Upgrades / Re: Zentyal Freeradius + Cisco WLC
« on: November 16, 2013, 02:44:33 am »
I'm facing the same problem as you.Although different hardware. It seems Radius works realy well on zentyal 2.x but I've yet successfully done it in 3.0. Usually based on radius loq it would say that the user is entering the wrong password. I don't know why

Thanks for the info.
Its look like I'm sticking to version 2.2 until i get more understading about 3.x features

The problem is not all my users will be included/members in the domain. Or is it a must that the client must be member of the domain?
Sorry but its really confusing

Hi,
I''m a newbie in Zentyal Radius.
I'm unable to connect windows client to zentyal radius.
Linux and android client works just fine.
Tried the workaround from this post http://forum.zentyal.org/index.php?topic=8336.0 but still does not work.
The zentyal log says that the login is incorrect.
Can someone help?
Thank You in advance

Installation and Upgrades / Internal Firewall Not Working
« on: May 17, 2012, 03:52:32 am »
I have some problem

This is my config
WAN - 192.168.0.x/24
eth0(vlan1) - 192.168.1.0/24
eth0(vlan2) - 192.168.2.0/24

Eveything works well.
But I'm tring to restrict VLAN1 from communicating with VLAN 2.
Try to use Internal Firewall using Network Object but client can still ping each other.
I have deleted the default any to any rule by the way.
Am I doing something wrong here?

Installation and Upgrades / Re: Zentyal Server with two WANs
« on: May 16, 2012, 09:22:18 pm »
Hi,
I'm no expert but I'm pretty sure that by default Zentyal does not allow routing / traffic between 2 WAN,
I thing you have to make changes in the firewall configuration.
But I'll try to check it tomorrow in the office.

Installation and Upgrades / Limit Bandwidth usage on proxy
« on: May 16, 2012, 09:15:14 pm »
Hi,
I really like the limit bandwidth usage available on Captive Portal.
Can the same thing be done to the user using the proxy?
OR is it implemented already when we set the limit on the Captive Portal?
Thanks

Installation and Upgrades / Re: Captive Portal Question
« on: September 30, 2011, 09:10:51 am »
From my experience using it in 2.2
1. Does enabling Captive Portal Service will force all users to authenticate to be able to access the internet?
In my case yes and you must select which group of users can use the captive portal,Default is all can
2. Using Captive Portal, is it possible to Create an Object (Group of People) and limit their bandwidth usage thru Captive Portal?
I think you could limit how bandwidth they are consuming in months on the captive portal setting

Installation and Upgrades / Re: Customizing Captive portal on Zentyal 2.2
« on: September 30, 2011, 09:02:38 am »
Because the login page will cause ie & firefox alert regarding untrusted certified for the https connection
Of course they could choose to allow the connection, but for beginners this confuses them
Is there any way to solve this?

Installation and Upgrades / Re: 2 Wan Connections & 1 Lan
« on: September 26, 2011, 10:15:39 am »
Please make sure you make the range that the dhcp server can take.
On the dhcp tab/interface you can add the range on the enabled lan interface.
I make a mistake once by enabling the dhcp without adding the range and the dhcp server cannot be started

never mind.
I have found the template @ /usr/share/zentyal/templates/captiveportal
Now the only problem if i could make the login go through http and not https. It would be perfect

Installation and Upgrades / Customizing Captive portal on Zentyal 2.2
« on: September 20, 2011, 05:56:29 am »
Hi just testing captive portal 2.2.
Works like a charm. Thank you zentyal for this feature.
I would like to ask how do we customize the login page for the captive portal.
I need to display some disclaimer and maybe my contact so that out staff knows
how to get an account for wireless access.
Thanks very much
