Title: User's ability to change LDAP password on Ubuntu/linux
Post by: aaronjct on May 23, 2015, 04:08:54 am
We are using Zentyal 4.1 and we ran into an issue where all of the user's passwords expired. In previous versions there was a "User Corner" but that seems to be gone. Is there another way for the user to change or reset their password? I have read that you can use the "Change Password" feature in Windows to update your password but haven't seen anything on doing something simmilar through the Ubuntu desktops. I attempted to open a terminal and run the 'passwd' command but received the error

Our entire office runs on Ubuntu 14.04 or 12.04 and everyone logs into their computers with their LDAP username and as of today, no one could login. I logged into the admin console and had to reset everyone's password manually so they could continue working.
