Hi Julio,
I know that this question is not really related to the subject, but could I ask you to check the http proxy module in Zentyal 5?
The proxy module in transparent mode doesn't seem to work correctly at all.
For example: When you set the filter profile to allow all, everything works.
When you set the filter profile to Medium, most of the visited websites are simply blocked, even non pornographic or whatever.
Even after adding the specific website to the always allowed url rules, it keeps on getting blocked.
They also removed the antivirus module, but however the proxy module gives errors in saving the configuration about the removed antivirus module.
It seems to still check if the module is there, even when they removed it.
It looks like the Zentyal developers have done a hard copy of the proxy module without reprogramming anything.
In my 4.0 - 4.2 installations everything works like a charm, with same same setup....

Unfortunately i had so many problems with 5.0,DNS problems,Rule problems (same problem with yours) and so on. That's why downgraded to 4.0.14 and it's working perfectly. I guess 5.X version need lots of update to be stable.
Sometimes I ask myself if the developers actually read these posts

I tested the fixed ip sollution in zentyal 5 and they are displayed so that's fine.
Only problem is that the feedback says the computer is not active but in reality it was?

Same issues on 3 installations:
When selecting the components to install, i choose everything except the MAIL module.
In the installation screen i get a error message: The packages installation has not finished correctly . More information on the logs in /var/log
/zentyal/

Please use with your own group, nested groups 'Domain Admins, Domain Users, Domain Guests' not working yet!

Strange thing is that I have an older server with the 4.2.2 version and squid running fine.
Done several reinstall now and tried different approaches....

I'm having a problem with a fresh zentyal 4.2 installation and squid.
After installing and activating the squid module, I always get a Denied error screen when accessing a http website on a client:
Your username is not allowed to web browse: -
Access Denied
Banned User.
https and ping work fine.
I now that the squid module is not included in the 4.2 but I supposse that it should work correctly?
Can this error by caused because something extra needs to be installed or maybe a extra configuration is needed.
I have done several new installations but the error stays the same.
In the access rules for the proxy I have nothing special, just:
All Time - any - allow all

Hello,
We are having trouble launching the Domain Controller and File Sharing and the http proxy service.
Because these modules are missing in the 4.1 release we cannot upgrade to the latest Zentyal version.
So could somebody help me solving this problem, I have been searching on the web but could not find any solution.
When starting the samba service we get several errors in the zentyal.log file:

Hi Guys,
As of version 4 there the option webserver has disappeared.
In the previous version I always installed Lightsquid, for evaluating the traffic.
Can somebody confirm me if a web-server can still me manually installed and won't interfere the Zentyal installation itself?

It is not clear to me what to change or add for this part of the text:
2. Tune a bit the Squid configuration file ( should these options be added in /usr/share/zentyal/stubs/squid/squid.conf.mas, if yes where)
We’ve added some options to the Squid configuration to improve performance:
memory_pools off
buffered_logs on
client_db off
Also we’ve set NTLM authentication to use 200 children process (where to add these options, same file as above?):
auth_param ntlm program /usr/lib/squid/ntlm_auth -b domain.local/DomainName
auth_param ntlm children 200

We use Zentyal mainly as proxy, DHCP and firewall, this for 400+ users in different Vlan's.
I implemented the latest Zentyal 4 yesterday, a day later the http sites start loading really slow.
Https sites loads as fast as they should, after restarting the proxy everything works as normal again.
I know that you can change max children settings etc, but I was wondering where to do that in Zentyal 4?
