Installation and Upgrades / Re: Outook auto refresh not working

I think this about does it for us. We have a dozen customers who are waiting on us to migrate them to this wonderful new solution (aka Commercial Zentyal) but every day we use this community version our confidence in the product erodes.

I think it's almost time we start looking at alternatives. I hope other read this and save their time. It's too bad because I followed this project for some time and it had so much potential. Now i'm just left discouraged and depressed after having spent so much time on this.

I've read elsewhere in these forums which I can't seem to find the post about it anymore... but they had the same thing. No one ever replied to that thread.

I can't even set my outlook client to refresh every minute, which I could live with absolutely. BUT nothing works anymore unless I close and re-open outlook. I've recreated outlook profiles, recreated windows profiles nothing. The only way I get new mail is basically if I close outlook and re-open it.

So we should roll back to older versions? this is extortion, you guys are worst than microsoft.

Any chance of this getting fixed? Where can I track this bug?

Thank you so much for this!

Unfortunately, I had it working using a different method found on these forums. Now, neither method is working for me. If I follow your guide by the letter, the first page never gets a green light. I'm always stuck at configuration incomplete.

What about a url rewrite with apache?

Code: [Select]
mkdir /var/www/html/Autodiscover
echo "RedirectMatch 302 (?i)^/Autodiscover/(.*)$ https://xxx.yourdomain.com/autodiscover/autodiscover.xml" > /var/www/html/Autodiscover/.htaccess

Can you try?

I forgot to mention, this DID work. Thank you!!!

I was able to get it working using Phiku's method in the screenshots... however it was very sporadic. One second it was showing nothing, the next suddenly it just went green after going back and forth between tabs. I just rebuilt the server and I'm going to try from scratch using those same instructions this time and see if it works. Would be nice to have this Wiki'd if someone could get it accurately working.

Interesting, I'll need to try your exact method of rewrite then, I tried a few different methods... but not the exact one you specified.

Thanks for the help.

Looks like it was because of case sensitive URLs. It's actually working for me after installing certs on the machine and ignoring the XML portion of the tests.

we tried rewrite with no luck... seems to be handled by a python script.

************************
**** Autodiscover begin ****
************************

ProxyPass /autodiscover http://127.0.0.1:5000/autodiscover

anyway, still odd, but installing the root CA fixed my issue with creating the profile on a mac.

I'm having the exact same problem.

Have you found a work around to this? Is this affecting how your clients configure their mail clients?

Installation and Upgrades / Autodiscover.xml does not exist
« on: July 12, 2015, 12:54:57 am »
I have recently starting using Zentyal, and Linux for that matter so bare with me as I'm kind of a newb coming from only doing Windows messaging.

Zentyal fresh install, Sogo installed. Active sync is working great, however I did need to manually specify server name. I cannot however configure any desktop mail clients. It seems to me as though there is no autodiscover.xml file. When I try to navigate to either of my virtual domains nothing resolves.

http://autodiscover.domain.com/autodiscover/autodiscover.xml

Everything shows up green in https://testconnectivity.microsoft.com/ except for when it tries to pull up the autodiscover.xml file.

I've even performed a search on the filesystem for the xml and it does not appear to exist.

Please let me know what information you need to help troubleshoot this and I will gladly post.

I wonder if creating a secondary NIC would work?
