Title: what is the latest mail and user corner update doing?
Post by: ATT1 on August 10, 2014, 12:37:27 pm
Hi,

I updated everything to Zentyal 3.5.2 recently, which was a bit of a hassle, a few days ago, and now two more modules are recommended to being updated: Mail module and user corner.
But I don't know exactly what the update is going to do, and I fear troubles.
So I won't do the update until I know what will happen - will anything be removed, etc.?
Please, let me know what the update is doing.

Are you sure you have Zentyal 3.5, since according to the changelog, Usercorner is depricated in Zentyal 3.5

Frustrated much?
If you really want to know and be absolutely be sure, try in virtualbox first. This still is a community version with no support whatsoever. This means you have your own responsibility to not mess up your server.
Don't start yelling about when someone points to documentation where states a certain module is moved to contrib and not supported any more.
It would be very helpful for others in the same boat that you report back your findings after you have tested.

YES! Frustrated much! Because I don't want to see anything removed by just pressing "Update!"
Especially not any functionality that I deem essential. Fetch external mail, FOR EXAMPLE.
And your answer shows that you are part of the problem, not of the solution.
