Installation and Upgrades / Re: Maintaining and improving the Thin Clients module
« on: June 07, 2014, 07:49:34 pm »
Hi,
I have problem in Zentyal 3.3, everything works up to the login screen on thin client. I write login and password (user is in /etc/passwd on zentyal) and I cannot log in from thin client. After 20 seconds login screen appears again. There is nothing strange in syslog. I can make ssh user@zentyal from thin client.
Can anyone give me some advise, what to check next?
Adam

Great!
It is bad habit to ask, not to search ;-)
Of course in Core 3.3.7 works perfectly.
I'm still learning... for years.
Best regards,
Adam

Hi,
I configured Zentyal 3.3. and VPN server in (VPN/Servers). Once this is done, I tried to download client bundle with link:
https://my.server/OpenVPN/View/DownloadClientBundle?directory=Servers/keys/sr2/download&backview=/OpenVPN/View/Servers
This is under : Download client bundle in VPN/Servers. Then, I see 404 Page not found.
Maybe tre is a place in server, from where could I get files manualy?
Best regards,
Adam

Installation and Upgrades / Re: HOWTO: Ubuntu client with LDAP authentication and pam_mount for mounting $HOME

Hi,
I am trying to make Ubuntu 12.04 LTS and Zentyal 3.3 working as LDAP client with Roaming Profiles. I did everything and I have a problem - in point:
At this point the first check is useful. My userid on the Zentyal server is "ubt" and I want to know my where my homeDirectory is:
(I make some modifications for it, because I created user "test" in Zentyal Users and Computers)
My problem is that I don't know, what password shoud I type in request. When I just press ENETER, I can see:
I double chceck, that bindpw parameter in both /etc/ldap.conf is exactly the same.
Can anybody help me with this?

Installation and Upgrades / Re: Virtual machine network setup problem

I've been trying several times to install Zentyal on VirtualBox OSE under Ubuntu 10.04. Each one was unsuccesful ;-( Today I burn CD and install the same ISO on real PC. Works great !
The conclusion: I think that better is to instal on real PC.
