Installation and Upgrades / Home folder not mapping on new user
« on: December 16, 2014, 04:59:57 am »
Using Zentyal 4.0.  I have two Domain Admin users and when I log in as them on the domain, their home folder (K:) is mapped and shows under Network Locations in Windows Explorer.

However, I created a new user, but when I log in as him, his K: drive is not mapped. If I go to Active Directory Users and Computers and look at his Properties it doesn't show the path to his home folder like it does for the other two users.

Do I need to create the folder manually?  I didn't have to do that for the other two.

Installation and Upgrades / [SOLVED]"Opt-in" Permissions
« on: December 15, 2014, 03:59:59 am »
Don't know if I'm thinking about this the right way, but hopefully someone can help.  I want to create users but not allow them access to any shared folders/files unless I explicitly allow it.  I'm finding that when I create a user they seem to have access to folders unless I deny them access through the Folder/File's security tab.

Is there a way to prevent access to certain folders/files by default unless they are explicitly allowed through the Security tab?

:D Such an easy solution!  I appreciate it.

Hi,

I am trying to access the Zentyal Dashboard from another pc on the network, but when I go to the IP address (with https), I'm just seeing an Index Of directory listing with the only item shown being an html/ folder.  When I click that I get taken to the default "IT works!" apache page.

Any idea why I'm not able to remotely administer my Zentyal install?

Installation and Upgrades / Accidentally Removed Authenticated Users
« on: August 30, 2014, 11:53:22 pm »
I stupidly set my Authenticated Users to deny on a folder, and now it's gone from all folders.  This is also causing problems with my roaming profiles I think.  Whenever I try to log in as any user I get the "there was a problem with your roaming profile..." message.

I'm not sure what I can do to resolve this.  Home folders are not being mapped anymore either.  Is there some way to recover the profiles that are messed up?  Logging in as an admin doesn't give me that error, it's only my domain users that all get the error.

The only other change that was made was an upgrade to Zentyal 3.5 yesterday.  But I don't know if that is the cause.  Thanks!
