Title: Outlook 2016/2013 compatibility
Post by: donty01 on December 03, 2015, 12:20:04 pm
We are looking for an email solution that will work with later versions of Outlook than are mentioned on the Zentyal info or forum, so far as I can find. We have Exchange 2007 and need to change as current Office 2016 doesn't behave well with Exchange 2007 as it is blocked from working by design. With MS pushing new versions on everyone it means this will get more difficult to deal with.

So we will need to change something significantly and one option is the mail server to something other than Exchange such as Zentyal or Zimbra, the other would be to abandon the Outlook client.

Any help on Outlook versions would be useful!

Zentyal does work with at least outlook 2013 since it does support Active Sync through Sogo. I've didn't tried outlook 2016 yet but I don't think it wouldn't be a problem since Microsoft is going to push everyting to the Active Sync protocol.

Be aware that Exchange/Outlook functionality is limited to basic stuff. No public folders so far.

Softaken Zimbra to Outlook Converter tool is the perfect solution to migrate your file. it's easily migrating your files. the software that deeply scans message body like To, CC, BCC and message body format and imported format like EML, EMLX, PST, MSG & MBOX.
