German / Zentyal 3.5, weitere Kalender und Kontakt Ordner synchronisieren
« on: September 17, 2014, 01:41:55 pm »
Hallo,

Hello,

does anybody know how and where to change the smb.cnf to make it possible to have the files of samba-shares offline available in Windows 7?

I have to put in
Code: [Select]
oplocks = yes
level2 oplocks = yes
kernel oplocks = no
map archive = yes
map system = yes
map hidden = yes
somewhere.

Thank you
Roman

hi,

1.) I changed the server ip over the webinterface.
Now I get the new nameserver ip always overwritten on reboot in /etc/resolv.conf with the old one.
 Old: 192.168.1.251 changed to 192.168.1.2
changed /etc/resolv.conf manually to
Code: [Select]
nameserver 192.168.1.2After reboot /etc/resolv.conf is:
Code: [Select]
nameserver 192.168.1.251
This causes, that the names are not resolved.
What can i do?

2.) After changing /etc/resolv.conf manually the nameresolution on shell works, but the entered smarthost cannot be found.
email-queue in Webinterface shows:
Host or domain not found. Name service error for name=....

Any suggestions.

Thank you
Roman

Hello,

i am thinking about using Zentyal for a client with actually 1 email-Account used by 3 users, an Access DB and Filestore on Desktop.

1.) I am wondering if I will get happy with following Hardware for:
.) Software Raid 1
.) Fileserver storing Documents and Access DB
.) Zarafa, Mailstore appr. 5-10GB
.) PPTP VPN
.) eventually a virtual Maschine with Archivista Document Archive Server (archivista.ch)

The number of users can increase over the next years. Maybe 5 in the Office and some roadworkers who will access the Access DB read only.

Intel Atom D525 2-Core 1,80GHz
4 GB DDR3-1333 SO-DIMM Kingston
2 x 1000 GB SATA II WD Raid Edition IV 3,5"

or should I go for a
Intel Xeon 2-Core E3-1220L 2,2GHz 8MB CPU or a Xeon Quad-Core?

2.) Can the Backupmodule backup to usb ntfs-Harddisks?
I would use 2 of them. One is stored out off the Office an replaces the other one on the Zentyal-Server every week.
And can it do VM-Snapshots automatically in 2.2?

Thanks for your help
Roman
