I am using lastest stable Ubuntu and OOF 3.01. So upgrading will help? Thank you!
PS: Ebox is using automated updating, but I do not know if this is only bugfix or also version-updates?
What is the prefered method for updating to newer versions of ebox?
Thank!
Best regards,
Thomas

Installation and Upgrades / Fails saving new files from Open Office

Hello,
Every time I try to save a new file edited in Open Office to the samba share from Ubuntu it failes. If a save a file that is already saved it works. It also works if I first save the file to the desctop and then move the file to the network share.
I find this very strange. Any ideas?
Thanks....

The filesystem is EXT3. Is that what you mean?
Can I do something from the terminal?

YAY! That sounds like a good idea since there is no recycle bin on the machine really unless you install your own custom GUI.

Installation and Upgrades / Epson Stylus 6400

Hello,
When I try to install this printer, everything is OK eccept from the last options which is:
"Choose a driver for the printer" - this option is empty.
I am running the printer on a Ubuntu Desctop, so the printer is supported by Linux.
Please advise what to do to fix this. Thank you!

How does it work to install LAMP on a ebox server? Does this live by its own? How is EBOX-running? Does it use apache?

Anything I should be aware of doing this?

Hello again,
Do I have to manually install the NFS-server? Does this conflict with Ebox? I think this would be a vary good feature to have integrated into ebox. Will this come in the future?
PS: I found a guide for installing NFS and the clients here:
http://www.ubuntugeek.com/nfs-server-and-client-configuration-in-ubuntu.html
Is this a good way to do it?
Best regards,
Thomas

They are stand alone clients. Not in a domain...
As I understand Ebox does not support NFS? With NFS what is the best solution to do a transparent mounting of the home folder to the server?

Thomas
