Hello,

unfortunately, in addition to Zentyal, I also run other database programs but it doesn't work with MySQL 8.0. My database program works well with mariadb or MySQL 5.x versions.

I tried to install Zentyal version 7.0 with mariadb but during installation it removed mariadb and installed version 8.0 of MySQL.

How can I install Zentyal version 7.0 with mariadb?

Could someone help me?

Hi,

I need urgent help, please. I would like to install (reinstall) my zentyal server and I downloaded http://download.zentyal.com/zentyal-6.2-development-amd64.iso file. I think this is the latest installer file ...

But I can't install because the installer keeps displaying an error in the Select and Install Software menu.

The error on the F4 console is as follows:
Failed to download ubuntu-server-18.04.5 LTS Bionic Beaver release amd64 Hash sum is incorrect.

How can I fix it?

Hi,

I would like to know if it is possible to install MS SQL on Zentyal without any problem.

Microsoft has released the MS SQL database manager for Linux and runs on Ubuntu but I read that it doesn't work properly under Zentyal.

Unfortunately I would need MS SQL but I don't want to create a virtual machine for that.

Installation and Upgrades / Zentyal 6.1 AntiVirus module "No recent updates" problem

Hi,

there was an clamav update when freshclam messages changed and since then  the AntiVirus module message is under Last Database Updates "No recent updates". I see in the log that the update was successful and the database was updated. This "No recent updates" is false and it shows if the update was successful or failed... I think this is a bug in Updates.pm.

Earlier the messages was in the log:

"Database updated (6619107 signatures) from db.local.clamav.net (IP: 104.16.219.84)"

and now it is:

"daily.cld updated (version: 25740, sigs: 2204413, f-level: 63, builder: raynman)
main.cld database is up to date (version: 59, sigs: 4564902, f-level: 60, builder: sigmgr)
bytecode.cvd database is up to date (version: 331, sigs: 94, f-level: 63, builder: anvilleg)
Clamd successfully notified about the update."

Updates.pm is looking "Database updated" message in the log but can't find...

How can I fix this bug?

Directory and Authentication / Upload files to samba share problem

Hi,

I installed and configured Zentyal 6 Samba PDC with latest updates. Everything works but I would like upload to samba share my dirs and files from other samba share.

My problem is I tried it but I can't access to share. I used rsync on console for upload.  I used to verify ls -ln for what user is owner on samba share and I changed dirs and files owner on console by chmod -R 65537:2513 /home/samba/shares/share01.

Now, I can not access samba share but all directory owners and permission are same.

How can I change the owner on samba share's dirs and files correctly? And file's permission?

Installation and Upgrades / Antivirus module menu disappeared from Zentyal 6 Development Edition

Hello,

I wish all forum reader a Happy New Year! I installed Zentyal 6 Development Edition and I chose to install Antivirus module during installation process. Antivirus was installed and activated but it but it doesn't appear in left side (Main) menu.

I have an installed Commercial Edition Trial version and it includes and appears Antivirus module in left side menu (Main menu)...

What is the problem? There is a same as problem when Zentyal 5 was released...

How can I repair this or who can help me?

Ps.: I see now that Sogo is not in the menu but I use it.... I can connect to Sogo on Firefox.
