thank you very much for your response. I'd be very happy to test your package if You wish. It's very hard to install and config a Ubuntu client, and a package is a solution I've been waiting for a long time.

Hi,
at my high school We are using Ebox since 1 year ago, and I like this tool very much. But in a lab where windows and ubuntu machines are mixed, only XP joins and authenticates against Ebox domain. Windows logs in without problem.
I followed the instructions found in this post (34) and in Ubuntu Documentation, but I've only achieved to join the client to the domain. When trying to login as domain/user, user is not recognized by gdm. Getent passwd and group don't return domain user list.
Has anyone achieved that? Could you please send me conf file, pam.d to compare them?

Spanish / Unir y autenticar clientes Ubuntu

Hola a todos,
llevo un tiempo trabajando con Ebox, y siempre me ha parecido una herramienta muy cómoda, pero no he conseguido hasta ahora autenticar un cliente Ubuntu en el dominio ebox. Las máquinas con Windows entran sin problemas al dominio.
He seguido las instrucciones del foro (post 34) y de Ubuntu Documentation, pero lo máximo que he conseguido es unir el cliente al dominio. Al intentar entrar como dominio\usuario, gdm no reconoce el usuario. Getent passwd y group no devuelven usuarios del dominio.
¿Algún usuario que lo haya conseguido?¿Podrían facilitarme los ficheros de configuración, pam.d para comparar?
