Title: Domain functional level
Post by: Arvi89 on March 24, 2017, 11:10:21 am
Hello,

I just installed zentyal, the last version, updated everything, then I joined my computer, but when I check the domain functional level, it says windows server 2003. And if I try to upgrade to 2008, 2012 or 2016, I just get that I don't have enough right, even though I'm the administrator. How can I have a more recent functional level?

Thank you!

So I upgraded manually like explained here: https://wiki.samba.org/index.php/Raising_the_Functional_Levels

But I can only raise to 2008_R2 maximum, not 2012 or 2012_R2, I get: "Domain function level can't be higher than the lowest function level of a DC!"

Apparently, it's a problem with samba, maybe solved with samba 4.6?

Hi,

did you raise your DC level before raising the Domain?

Regards
