It states that next community edition will be based over new Ubuntu standard release (non LTS) if and only if the Ubuntu release is available before the start of the new Zentyal development cycle. Zentyal server 3.3 development cycle has started on October 5th with Ubuntu 12.04.03 LTS. Zentyal Server 3.4 has started on December 16th and will be based over Ubuntu 13.10.
That's mean Zentyal Server will be always belated over Ubuntu at least 4 months, does it? if that so; Zentyal Server 3.4 will release at Feb. 2014, does it?

Thanks, I though the new version Zentyal suppose to apply the new policy (works with recent Ubuntu versions); It seems the new policy didn't apply yet :'(

As far as I know there is no 12.10 LTS, is it a typo? If not: please use 12.04.
Sorry my mistake I mean Ubuntu 12.10 (I'll edit my original post).

How can I fix the above issue?

Zentyal 3.2 is NOT going to work on 12.10
Zentyal 3.4 will probably run on Ubuntu <latest> The new release policy will be published shortly. (I hope.... Julien!!!!!)
Do you when the new release policy will apply?

Installation and Upgrades / Re: Send messages by GMail's SMTP

Do you mean  using smart relay after Zentyal ?
I'm not sure if this works to me because I never used it before. I just want to use Zarafa as a replacement for desktop applications (ex. Thunderbird, Outlook) so the users can simply contact each other inside the local network and outside it (to the internet)

Hello,

How can I send messages from local network to the internet by using GMail's SMTP?

P.S. I was using Citadel Groupware which offers very easy configuration to use external SMTP (relay SMTP).

Installation and Upgrades / Re: How to change FTP default port

Why don't you disable FTP on Zentyal if you want to run the one from Alfresco ?
Alfresco's FTP works only for DMS while Zentyal's FTP works as physical file transferrer

As administrator I can modify the password for any user but from User Corner all the users can't and Zentyal shows error message as following:
Code: [Select]
Sorry, you have just hit a bug in Zentyal. Please look for the details in the /var/log/zentyal/zentyal.log file and take a minute to submit a bug report so we can fix the issue as soon as possible.

when I opened /var/log/zentyal/zentyal.log by nano I found it empty!

How can I fix this issue and how can I report a bug without log data?
