Hello All.
I've a question that confused me some days.
I bought a domain(example.com) and two static IP(one for web and one for email) addresses that configured on external DNS server.
I want to use Zentyal community as email server for my domain (user@example.com) . but it's mandatory to have internal DNS server in zentyal.
I want to know is there any conflict between internal and external DNS servers ?
my external DNS server records for Email :
type host content priority
A mail.example.com 12.12.12.2
MX mail.example.com 0
my zentyal config :
hostname = mail
domain = exapmle.com
OpenChange Virtual Domain = example.com
Thanks.
Regards
Albert

Hi,
I'm using the same configuration for about two years and it works without issues.
(external DNS server, Zentyal as email server for my company domain, placed in DMZ)
In Zentyal DNS, I have configured a forwarder to the NS server (External DNS Server); in your case, to 12.12.12.2

but 12.12.12.2 isn't my external DNS server IP address . it's my zentyal mail server IP address(for example) .
should i forward zentyal DNS server to my server IP ? ???

Hi,
Sorry! Should be: ....; in your case, to your External DNS server IP
ZENTYAL Email Server -> DNS -> Forwarders -> ADD NEW -> Forwarder: External DNS server IP -> ADD - SAVE CHANGES
