[SOLVED] Active Directory Required?
« on: October 30, 2012, 05:25:26 am »
Maybe I missed something or even over looked it during searching, but I am still on 2.2 and thinking about going up to 3.0 as it seems like it's been over hauled quite considerably, props to the devs, but noticed that it's requiring me to setup a domain? While this is typically in a business setup, I use it for my personal server at home as it is very easy to manage up till now. I am currently testing 3.0 but I'm at a loss as I won't be using this for a domain server. Is there any way around setting it up as a domain server, but still have it where I have users and groups, along with file sharing and use it as a work group server? If I did miss this, please let me know. Thanks.

I guess I should have played more because as a virtual machine I can see the server now. When I think Active Directory or Domain Name, I see business and AD Login screen versus Work Group. This is my own mess up but is solved
