Problems with GB ETH using (realtek 8169) on ebox 0.11
« on: January 24, 2008, 08:51:16 pm »
Hi guys,
I am using ebox iso 0.11 and I am having trouble with my GB NIC based on realtek 8169.
ifconfig shows a very strange MAC address, much longer than usual.

To confirm that the card is working I tried with an debian ETCH (no ebox) and the NIC works great.

Any ideas what the problem could be?

Thanks in advance
Joe

It may happen because of using an old kernel. You may try to install using a new kernel as this how-to [1] explains.

I hope this helps.
