Hello,
tried to install Zentyal 2.2-1 AMD64 on an server with an usbstick 2GB twice and it always stopping at 84% with package zentyal-core?
Made the stick with ubuntu 11.10 "create start medium", because the server has no DVD-Drive.

So, is there a problem with zentyal-core or iam doing something wrong ?

Hello,

Why Ubuntu 11.10 ?
Zentyal is based on LTS ( Long terml support ) releases, at the moment 10.04.3

Best regards,
Ian

My Workstation is under Kubuntu 11.10. So it was used to create the usbstick.

The booting from usbstick is fine, Installation starts until the mentioned point above.

Tried several ways and usbsticks. No luck, so far.

Decided to make a ticket:

Update:
Installed a Kubuntu 11.10 AMD64 desktop and it worked flawless. Same usbstick, same Hardware, so it MUST be a problem with the Zentyal-Installation CD !

As far as I know (from previous ubuntu-experience and loooots of readings) ubuntu and its derivatives have problems creating working usb installations when the used images are not the same as the installed versions. what you can do is either burn a zentyal dvd  and install in the old fashioned way or, if you don't have a dvd/cd drive handy, install ubuntu 10.04 on a different machine and create a usb installation device there.
