Bridge mode + Static route = Bug ?
« on: November 02, 2011, 03:07:40 am »

Hello,

I experienced the "Bridge mode" on Zentyal.

   But there is a problem.

   I created three networks. LAN1 (192.168.0.0/24), LAN2 (192.168.10.0/24) and LAN3 (192.168.50.0/24).

LAN1 on my router (192.168.0.1) which gives me access to the Internet.
This router also allows me to create a subnet (LAN3) on one of its outputs (advanced VLAN).

   On Zentyal, LAN1 is connected to eth0 (192.168.0.10) and LAN2 on eth1 (192.168.10.1)

   I set eth0 to "external".

Then I defined a "static route" to access LAN3:

       - Network: 192.168.50.0/24
         Gateway: 192.168.0.1

From this point, it works. I can ping the computer that is on
   LAN3 (192.168.50.10) from LAN2

Then I wanted to try the mode "bridge" between eth0 and eth1. I put the bridge 192.168.0.10.

It works, I can still ping LAN3.

But if I restart Zentyal, it does not work!

   Zentyal loses the static route!

By cons, if I go into the interface Zentyal, and I click on "Save Changes", it works.

I think Zentyal loses the static route when it starts in this configuration.

Would I have found a bug?

  Thank you in advance.
