I have this error with a url....i dont know what can i do, cuz i use the diagnostic tools and i can do ping, trace and resolution the name but i can in with a browser....thanks

Hello axelerao,

Chances are that port 80 or 443 is closed/blocked by a firewall.  It can come from either your firewall or the remote one.

Try reproducing the issue from a different network. 

- If it does work fine, do a traceroute and note it down. Then, do a traceroute from your network and see what is the last host response >> The problem won't be coming from that host - it will comes from the one following it (usually the web hosting server).

- If it doesn't work either, you'll have to contact the network/system administrator and request support regarding the firewall's blacklist on port 80/443

i can surface everywhere
but now trying that you said to me...and nothing.... i was thinking about reinstall zentyal
this web its my work web....what could i do?

and by the way we have another proxy (forefront) and no problems with him.....just with zentyal in this web

Hello,

**First, make sure that your IP is not blacklisted on the remote firewall**

It would also be possible to add the website to your DNS server (on your Zentyal server)

Simply add those 2 entries to it:
Domain: bnv.com.do
IP address: 201.229.188.194

Domain: www.bnv.com.do
IP address: 201.229.188.194

and that should solve it.

Perhaps as a workaround... but:
1 - "managing" domain you don't own is not best practice
2 - to me (sorry if it looks like nitpicking  , it's really not the aim) www.bnv.com.do is not a domain but hostname (FQDN to be more accurate)

I do concure - still, this is the terminology used in Zentyal. Using a more "proper" way of naming this would just confuse some administrators.

Bottom line, if Zentyal would name this "apple and orange", well, I would say:
apple and orange: bnv.com.do

This is probably the most common problem that a lot of network administrators are facing.  That is why the traceroute requested earlier.

More over, axelerao, you should do a ping to the remote server using Zentyal itself and not form your client (desktop).
