Best Interface to apply Traffic Shaping

I would like to ask your opinion on where it is best to apply Traffic Shaping in Zentyal 2.2? LAN or WAN interface?

If I remeber correctly, you wouldn't have a choice.
If you configure the lan interface it will shape download. If you shape the external interface, then it will shape upload.
Transparent proxy is another story, then you will have to use delay pools with Squid.
