Configure autostart of x11vnc
« on: September 14, 2011, 02:46:36 pm »
Hey :)

Today I set up a VM with Zentyal 2.2 to test it before I setup my productive system with it.

For remote control, I want to use x11vnc to get screen:0. X11vnc working great but it doesnt start while booting.
I need a init.d-script that starts x11vnc after X11 but I dont know how to make it.

Can someone provide a sample script or any tips?

Thank you!
Greetings,
CF

Hi all,

I've searched through the forum and it seems like this is the only topic in regarding of "x11VNC" autostart configuration on Zentyal. I've tried bellow solution as well before I posted this message up.
http://ubuntuforums.org/archive/index.php/t-1868554.html
and it doesn't seems to work for me. (because I don't see "xaut_path" in "lxdm.conf")

Is it possible to configure "x11VNC" to load before login? If so how's the configuration like? Zentyal will be best suite me if it has this remote desktop feature enable. Many thanks!

Not sure if this works with X11VNC, but worked for me with tightvnc:
