at this time there is not yet an upgrade path availeble,

its being worked on, and soon to be tested thoroughly by some experienced users before  released to public,
we all want to make sure  that everything is working correctly  because errors in this proces could easily render your server completely useless. and all your data destroyed.

so please bear with us for a bit longer.

I totally agree with Ichat.
It's always better to wait for the proper tools and not to rush the devs.
I'm going to upgrade my server overnight, and the worst thing that could happen is the loss of data or delays / issues in the process.
Zentyal devs please take your time.

Some of us can take more than one bite at the apple.  Virtual machines are great for making a snapshot and giving things a try ;D.  If it doesn't work, just restore the snapshot.

I will test the tool this week. I have a physicle server running Zentyal 2.0 I will report back any issues I run into.

I upgraded a zentyal server acting like a firewall using the upgrade script and it all went ok.  :)
Has anyone else tried to upgrade a mail server?

I am waiting for the finished upgrade tool in the hope that it will perform the upgrade to Zarafa 7

Just updated a Zentyal 2.0 working as backupserver to version 2.2.2. No problems.
