Cannot install gateway properly [SOLVED]
« on: September 28, 2011, 10:22:35 am »
Hello guys

The problem:
I tried several times to set up Zentyal product in a virtual environment based on Workstation 7. But every time I had the only one result - a command prompt of Ubuntu server! :( I could not connect to WEB interface because there (on the new installed server) were nothing of any active services.

The distributive was taken from here http://www.zentyal.org/downloads/  but unfortunately I've never seen anything like these screens http://doc.zentyal.org/en/installation.html during installation process :(

So I have downloaded ISO files ver. 2.2 and older 2.1 but I have always the same result.

Can anyone explain me, what could it be? I'll appreciate any help!

Thx God! I have understood that happened!

In VMWare Workstation 7 before installing process apears a message says something about "Easy install Feature for Some Guest Operating System" If I agree and continue installation In this way I have got a problem described above.
So I tried to create a new clear virtual machine, without connecting any iso images and choosed Guest OS I want. And if I begin an installation of Zentyal after that action - the problem disappear.
