Mounting harddisk at boot failure
« on: March 30, 2011, 09:52:59 am »
I'm having a problem since my power went down.
If i try to boot my Zentyal server, then it stops befor the Zentyal logo comes up and i get this screen:

the next shows the help comands:

if i boot with the zentyal live cd, and sellect recovery, go threw the steps and then at the part of 'sellect boot drive'  it shows the /dev/sda1 (my hd) but when i sellect it, it gives an error.

I would love to get some help on this, i wouldn't like to reinstall Zentyal again

Sorry it take this time to someone to answeryou back but this is a ubuntu problem not zentyal, anyways
i solved this by edit the /etc/default/grub file
in the line
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet splash" you need tu add this pci=nomsi rootdelay=35
and so you will have this
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet splash pci=nomsi rootdelay=35"
save and restart that solved for me in a  Dell830.
