Installation RAID 1 - Array not detected
« on: September 22, 2011, 01:00:16 pm »
Hi all,

I am trying installing Zentyal on a ADAPTEC card raid and two hard drives SATA (RAID 1).
The array is created, detected by other installation distribution (ubuntu 11.04) but on Zentyal 2.0 and 2.2, the installer did not see my array. Only iSCSI option is available during installation...
Some people know any issues?

Thanks for your interests !  :)

Can you check if the array is also detected when you try to install ubuntu 10.04 server? Since Ubuntu lucid server is the base of Zentyal, it should give a similar result.

If de array IS detected by Ubuntu Lucid, can you try to download Zentyal ISO again check MD5 and burn it on cd once more.

An answer for this kind of trouble is to reactivate the raid array:

- Open another shell when you want during the installer ( CTRL + ALT + F2 )
- Launch this command : dmraid -ay
- Return to the installer and redetect your disks

If everything was ok, your array will be listed then you'll be able to continue your setup.

Hint : You can ls your /dev/mapper to see if something is initially detected or not.
